Script

My Generation" is an idol boy band competition program that aims to find the most versatile and outstanding idols of our time. Out of the eighty-eight trainees selected by various companies and individuals, only six of them will be able to make it to the show with the audience's votes.

The filming program lasts for three months, with the whole process closed for training. A total of seven rounds of competition will be set up, which will be cut into ten episodes and two live broadcasts, which will be aired on East Orange TV at 8:00 p.m. in prime time.

The night before the taping, the showrunner gave a meeting to the five mentors.

"Thank you teachers for taking the time to come here," the choreographer said, "It's going to be hard work for all of you starting tomorrow, and now I'm going to go over tomorrow's process with you."

At the conference table, choreographer, Bai Ye, and acting coach Chen Jiayi sat on one side, while vocal coach Zheng Yuyang, dance coach Wei Qin, and Qi Xingchen sat on the other.

From the seats, you can see the status and treatment of each tutor.

Chen Jiayi, in her early forties, looks beautiful and has an excellent temperament. She is a teacher at the Chinese Opera House, and is mainly responsible for the students' physical and acting instruction.

Zheng Yuyang is a thirty-two year old male singer-songwriter, mainly responsible for the vocal and compositional guidance of the students.

Wei Qin is twenty-two years old, just one year older than Qi Xingchen, and is the C-suite of the last My Generation, a quasi-first-tier flow, in charge of dance instruction for the students.

Bai Ye is the initiator and moderator, responsible for the overall situation. Qi Xingchen is the main objective judge.

The choreographer went on to explain the rules, "Tomorrow is the first grading session, where the contestants will perform in groups according to their agencies. What the teachers need to do is to grade them from A to F based on their performances. A grade is the highest and F grade is the lowest. After the grading is done, the contestants will be placed in the appropriate class for training according to their grade."

In the meantime, Qi Xingchen had caught up on the first two seasons of My Generation and nodded with a general understanding of the rules.

"These three," the choreographer drew out a sheaf of information, "will ask the teachers to hold their heads high when they do the grading tomorrow."

...... Higher up?

Qi Xingchen's heart thumped.

Is this meant to be shady?

Though before coming here An Ran had given him a precaution that there must be a script for My Time. But he thought the script was nothing more than a manufactured look.

I didn't realize that from the first round, the show was getting down to regulating the contestants' performance and exposure.

After all, those with high ratings are definitely more popular than those with low ratings, and ratings can influence the audience's initial impression of a trainee, which is very good for building up popularity.

Five documents were distributed, and after the mentors got their hands on them, Qi Xingchen opened them one by one.

Of the three trainee profiles, there is one solo trainee and two agency-promoted trainees.

Individual trainees are probably the ones that East Orange wanted to sign, and those two companies should have paid for a hit.

If you do the math that way, there are only three debut slots left, which is not a 14th of a debut rate at all, but a 28th.

The world is not a fair place, and there is no way to avoid insider knowledge and subterfuge. As an adult, Qi Xingchen can understand and cooperate with the program team if they want to fix a place in the show.

But half of them were internalized at once ......

Isn't that a bit much.

Thinking of this, Qi Xingchen frowned, closed the information, deliberately did not memorize the names of these people, ready to formally open the record how to evaluate how to evaluate.

At that moment, the cell phone went "zip-zip-zip."

Bai Ye sends me a message: "Read the information carefully.

Qi Xingchen's frown tightened--did Bai Ye recognize the script?

He actually ...... So unprincipled?

Qi Xingchen looks up at Bai Ye.

Bai Ye put away his cell phone and ignored Qi Xingchen, instead pushing the information back to the choreographer.

"I'll rate it by my own standards."

Qi Xingchen's frown instantly relaxed.

I guess the choreographer knows Bai Ye's character well, didn't argue with him, smiled and rounded off the scene: "I'll just say one thing, the strength of the three of them is quite good, I'm not going to talk too much, and Mr. Bai can definitely approve of them as well."

Bai Ye did not say anything, followed by a smile, this matter is considered to be lumped over.

The choreographer and director then talked about a few points of caution. After the meeting, Bai Ye called out to Qi Xingchen: "Xingchen, come with me."

The choreographer paused in his tracks.

Zheng Yuyang, who had finished packing his personal belongings, was surprised to hear this and said, "You know each other?"

"They did a variety show together, I even watched it," Chen Jiayi joked, "Yu Yang, you spend all your time writing songs, right?"

Zheng Yuyang quickly said that he has been very busy this year, he has not been able to watch the variety show, so I am ashamed of my ignorance. Wei Qin stood by the side and listened to their conversation with an indifferent expression.

Bai Ye exchanges pleasantries with everyone and takes Qi Xingchen away.

Qi Xingchen followed Bai Ye, knowing that he would probably be scolded.

Sure enough, when we got in the car, Bai Ye said with a stern face, "Sit down."

Qi Xingchen sat down stiffly.

"You were so obvious at the meeting earlier."

"It's that they went too far, I couldn't help it." Qi Xingchen whispered in defense.

Bai Ye pressed his brow, "I understand how you feel, but you're not on solid ground yet, so don't just offend anyone. Besides--"

"Besides, I'm still here," Bai Ye sighed, "From now on, you can talk to me first, and don't act arbitrarily, can you do that?"

Qi Xingchen suddenly had the illusion that "I have someone above me" and lowered his head and said, "Yes, I can do it."

.

Bai Ye's new album was released shortly after and he had a busy schedule, so Qi Xingchen took the initiative to say goodbye after the lecture.

Pulling open the door of the car and jumping down, he bumped into Wei Qin who was about to get into the car.

"What a coincidence." Qi Xingchen greeted.

Wei Qin nodded and then asked Bai Ye: "Brother Night, do you have an announcement later?"

Bai Ye "hmmm".

"Forget it then, I was hoping to meet you for dinner." Wei Qin sounded regretful.

Gifted and from a good family, Wei Qin has had a smooth journey and is proud and reserved.

Qi Xingchen, who could understand this kind of character, didn't blame him for being cold to him, and went back to his nanny car on his own.

An Ran is leaning over the front windshield, stretching his neck to look out. Qi Xingchen wondered, "What are you looking for?"

"Observe the enemy."

"Enemy?" Qi Xingchen didn't understand.

"Can't you see," An Ran skimmed, "that Wei Qin guy is trying his hardest to get close to Night."

What does Wei Qin having dinner with Bai Ye have to do with her? Qi Xingchen was confused.

Seeing that he did not understand, An Ran sat upright and gave him the information: "The year before last, at the press conference after the C-suite debut, a reporter asked Wei Qin about the opportunity to enter the entertainment industry, and you can guess how he answered."

"For liking to dance and sing?"

"Wrong," An Ran made a big X, "He said he gave up the chance to study abroad and chose to join an entertainment company as a trainee because of Bai Ye. Bai Ye is the direction he's chasing."

So Wei Qin is also a Bai Ye fan, Qi Xingchen bites his lower lip.

Wei Qin is so outstanding, given Bai Ye's character of fan favoritism, he must appreciate Wei Qin more than himself.

"That's why the old lady must watch him! Mustn't let him get into trouble and tear me down ...... Uh ......" An Ran snapped her mouth shut as she remembered that her own artists were expressly forbidden to engage in CP.

Qi Xingchen didn't hear what she said, but kept replaying Wei Qin's stage performance at the Music Festival in his mind.

I didn't realize it when I didn't know, but after I found out that Wei Qin Ai Dou is also Bai Ye, Qi Xingchen realized that there are indeed a lot of similarities between his style and Bai Ye.

I'm afraid it's on par with my own admiration for Bai Ye.

.

As the program requires the grades of the eighty-eight trainees to be evaluated in one day, Qi Xingchen's nanny van was parked in front of the East Orange at six o'clock in the morning.

In the past, Noah had been blind to the fact that Qi Xingchen had been assigned the lowest grade of business car. Now, how dare they neglect Qi Xingchen, giving him the company's highest-grade saloon car, and even sending a special stylist along with it.

The stylist is Jiang Jiang, a soft-sounding name, but she is a tough lady who doesn't talk too much.

I guess the backstage of East Orange has been busy, Jiang Jiang directly in the caravan to give him styling, no Liu Hai plus military green work clothes pants, the boy next door to change, into a big cool man.

Qi Xingchen was more than satisfied, and entered the studio with a strained expression. Chen Jiayi, who had already done her makeup and hair, saw him and gave him a thumbs up: "Xiao Qi, younger brother, is great today, I'm going to be your sister's fan for a day!"

"Then I'll pick it up tomorrow, and you'll be my fan for a day." Zheng Yuyang pretended to be jealous.

"Hahaha, I'm a fan of your songs now too. Xiao Qi's brother relies on his face, you rely on your voice, perfect."

Zheng Yuyang was in a hurry, and he smelled like a ballast: "What, you mean I'm not good at face value?"

"You heard me, ahahahahahaha."

The two of them sang in unison, and Qi Xingchen was a bit embarrassed by the compliment and giggled along with them. Not long after, two figures appeared in the doorway, accompanied by the sound of the camera rolling, the three of them turned their heads to look over there.

Bai Ye was seen wearing a black casual silk shirt with a dark hooked collar and cuffs, which set off his already cold white complexion.

Liu Hai seven-seven points, three of the part combed to the back, seven that part of the stay a few locks of loose hanging in front of the forehead, the overall shape of a simple lazy not lose solemnity.

Wei Qin, on the other hand, wore a white shirt and a center-parted Liu Hai, which should have been a more refreshing look, but she paired it with a black velvet chocker, which is both pure and desirable.

"Hey," Chen Jiayi marveled, "you two did your looks together this morning? One black and one white, black and white?"

"Coincidence." Bai Ye replied as his eyes searched for a certain young fan, finally finding his target on the right side of the tutor's desk.

The target is looking at the process book with both ears and great concentration.

Bai Ye walks over to his desk and knocks on it.

Qi Xingchen slowly tilted his chin, "There you are ...... I just saw it."

Bai Ye didn't answer and put a bottle of milk on his desk.

Wei Qin's eyes darkened.

All the mentors arrive, the inside director and backstage director cue the process again, and the recording officially begins.

The first few groups of trainees were average, hovering between C-F, and the five mentors hardly had any disagreements, and the progress flew by.

The seventh solo trainee to appear on the show made everyone serious - he was one of the trainees who, according to the choreographer, told the mentors to "keep their hands up".

But the choreographer didn't bluff, he had good singing and dancing strength and a steady stage presence. At the end of the two-minute performance, the mentors unanimously agreed to rate him as A Grade.

The trainee bowed and left, walking backstage, and the followers asked him, "How did it go?"

"Generally, a little nervous."

"Why are you nervous?"

"I've been waiting for this stage for so long, and I'm especially afraid of not performing well. Moreover, Elder Bai Ye's aura is super strong, and when he's serious, he's very intimidating. When I was halfway through the dance, I inadvertently glanced at him, and thought that I had sung a split, which scared me a lot!"

"An la, an la, we turned out to be good, got the first A," followed the assistant soothing and then asked, "What about the other tutors, how do they make you feel?"

"Mr. Chen is so beautiful and gentle; Mr. Zheng has a poisonous ear; Mr. Wei Qin is very demanding in his dancing, and pointed out a few things to me that hit the nail on the head; the Starlight Observer--"

At this point, he paused, as if thinking of what to say in a more rounded way.

Ultimately, he commented, "Extraordinarily good-looking and extraordinarily serious."

He talks a good game, and the general director behind the monitor, hears the deeper meaning.

A strong trainee doesn't need to care about Starlight Observer at all; he probably didn't even look at Qi Xingchen during the performance, so he can only pick the words he can't get wrong to comment on.

The director-in-chief instructed the editors, "Keep all of this interview."

"Got it, Director Wang."

Backstage interviews were going on, and one by one the front stage trainees made their entrance.

In the second group after the first A, the Noah's Entertainment logo appeared on the LCD screen. Chen Jiayi opened her mouth, "Xingchen, it's your company yeah."

Bai Ye, as a veteran who accompanied Noah's development, holds a portion of Noah's shares, has an extremely loose brokerage contract, and is basically in a state of semi-detachment from Noah, or else A Lun and others would not have called him their boss.

In that case, Qi Xingchen and Noah's trainees have a deeper relationship and are more talked about, so Chen Jiayi directly cued Qi Xingchen.

Qi Xingchen nodded his head and did not indicate his friendship with Han Qing in order not to make Han Qing feel a sense of inferiority.

"Then you mustn't be biased." Zheng Yuyang joked.

Qi Xingchen smiled, "With you guys around, how dare I."

Noah's group of trainees chose a typical male group dance song with a strong sense of rhythm, with solid basic skills from a large company, and an excellent knife group dance to match the song, and the mentors showed expressions of satisfaction after the song was sung.

To avoid suspicion, Qi Xingchen did not intend to participate in the rating discussion. However, after everyone had finished their opinions, Wei Qin sidled up, "What does the Starlight Observer think?"

Since it couldn't be avoided, Qi Xingchen picked up his densely written little notebook, "Overall good, No. 1 and 3 A or A-, No. 2 and No. 5 between B and C, and No. 4 with weak vocals, D, I think."

Number 3 is Han Qing. Han Qing is a little bit happy to hear that.

For him, his best friend's affirmation was much more important than any other mentor.

"I'd say #3 is average."

Wei Qin, however, said, "Throughout the performance, he was the one responsible for lifting in the lifting category and may not have mastered the technical movements well enough. I think we should give him a B and leave it for follow-up. The rest of my opinion is the same as yours."
