Chapter 399: How to own five buildings

Evil Tang Er hit leaning against the invisible wall of the prop [Magic Space], used the barrel of the gun that had not yet dispersed its residual heat to light another cigarette for himself, lowered his head over his lungs and inhaled deeply, and then suddenly opened his mouth, "You haven't yet escaped from this world line, and the situation in this world line is still okay to put?"

He paused for a moment chewing on his cigarette, "Su Yang is still alive, right?"

"Alive." Tang Er typed in reply, he stilled for a moment, "The real world isn't landing any devastating copies at the moment either, everything's holding up just fine."

The person on the other side of the table was silent for a moment, snickering, "After so many do-overs, you finally did it."

"Good job, how did you do that, give me some pointers?"

Tang Er Ta slowly clenched the barrel of the gun hanging by his thigh, opened his mouth to say something, but before he had time to say anything, the person on the other side of the room swept his eyes and saw the pattern on the silver □□□ handle that Tang Er Ta squeezed in his hand, his movement of turning his head gave way, and his eyes suddenly changed.

He looked up slowly, his blue eyes showing a questioning and murderous intent as if he were torturing a prisoner, "The pattern on the handle of your gun, why did it turn out to be the pattern of a wandering circus?"

Without waiting for Tang Er Ta's reply, he got up and approached Tang Er Ta, drew out the gun that was stuck on his belt at the back waist and pointed it at Tang Er Ta without hesitation, the violence in his eyes could hardly be concealed: "How dare you sell your soul to Bai Liu?!"

"He's not Bai Liu, he's not the same as Bai Liu." Tang Er hit slowly lowered his raised gun before raising his hands in a gesture of surrender as a sign of goodwill, "The Bai Liu of this world line is called Bai Liu , the willow of the willow tree, and he ......"

"Everyone who sells their soul to that guy argues that way." The person on the other side gave an incredibly mocking smile, "You should know better than me what it's like to be compelled by that guy."

The man on the other side spat out the cigarette in his mouth, his ghostly blue eyes hidden in the dazzling rising nicotine smoke gazed straight at Tang Er hit, he flicked the safety downward, "I'll give you one last chance to weasel out of it, you sold your soul to Bai Liu, what was the reason, were there any circumstances that forced you to do so?"

Tang Er beat him up.

He tries to find a reasonable state of affairs to describe Bai Liu in this world line, to convince his opposite self that Bai Liu would not do that.

Law-abiding? Not a criminal? A law-abiding citizen?

All of this Tang Er Ta knew was not accurate enough, he could feel that deep down Bai Liu's heart was still in a state where he could cross the line at any time, but somehow Bai Liu had maintained a relatively harmless looking state up until now.

And for some reason, he was convinced that Bai Liu would continue in this state.

Tang Er hit took a deep breath and raised his eyes, "There's no compulsion, I trust him."

The man on the other side of the room's face sank completely and pulled the trigger, "Then you die."

"Bang--!!!"

District D.

Mu Ke carefully searched the cemetery floor by floor, Bai Liu had sent a message to them two hours earlier via a communication device, saying to focus on searching the center area of the single grave and the rotten cemetery.

The solitary tomb Mu Ke did not see, but the rotten cemetery, after two hours of careful searching, Mu Ke finally found it.

He flipped over the headstone and couldn't help but breathe a long sigh of relief after seeing the obviously unfinished construction below, with rebar poking out of the walls for access to the cemetery building.

Finally, he could finish the mission and go to C area to join Bai Liu and the others, he was worried about the situation of Bai Liu who was carrying a blood loss buff status on his back.

Mu Ke drew the short twin blades on his back and held them in his mouth, braced his hands on both sides of the cemetery entrance, and lifted himself deftly over the steel with a few leaps, making a quick yet smooth approach to the center floor below.

At the sight of the huge cemetery room in the center, which was clearly built in a different style from the "incinerator" finish he had seen before, Mu Ke's eyes glazed over, and with a quick tap of his toes on the rebar, he jumped into the room, and then spun around and jumped to the upper left corner.

Mu Ke braced his feet and shifted his body weight back to half crouch on his knees, firmly attaching himself to the wall like a gecko, he drew away the dagger he had bitten in his mouth quickly with both hands and stretched out his three fingers against the wall, his eyes calmly glancing around at the condition of the whole room.

The room was about two hundred square feet, and the interior was luxuriously and lavishly decorated, no different from that of a living person, in stark contrast to the cemetery room next to it, which was only 3-5 square feet in size. In the very center of the room, on a mahogany desktop, was a shrine, and in the shrine was a black-and-white photo, with the cause of death, "Died in a car crash accident," written next to it.

Under the shrine is a porcelain white urn.

If Bai Liu's assumption is correct, the land certificate should be in the urn.

Mu Ke was just about to jump down to reach the urn, his body all but leaning forward, but the movement suddenly lurched as he withdrew his three fingers against the wall and cast a downward glance at his fingertips.

There is only a light layer of dust.

There was a subtle sense of alienation in this room ......, and it was clear that the dust was heavy in some places, but thin in others, especially in the corners of the wall where he was now staying, and on the floor where he had landed before, and -

Mu Ke's eyes slowly shifted to the mahogany table that held the shrine-this mahogany table that held the urn.

If a developer monster from the urn had crawled out, then the whole room wouldn't have been so neat, there would have been visible lines of dust being dragged off, and there could only be one possible scenario for this lighter dust in the path of only zones close to the urn-

--that someone had approached the urn in exactly the same way as he had, and had covered their path of movement by pushing aside the dust on the side.

"Only now do you notice?" A cool, that voice came from the side, the clear footsteps of someone dragging something heavy and dragging it, leather shoes stepping unsteadily on the wooden floor, "What a disappointing world line, I'm surprised I'm so slow to react to my surroundings."

The dark shadows on the lower left slowly revealed a delicate man's sideways face.

"If you meet an opponent like me, this reaction speed is enough for me to kill your chairman thirteen times."

Mu Ke jumped down from the wall, his pupils clenching the moment he took in the face across from him.

Across from him stood a much more mature version of him!

This mature version of Mu Ke is dragging the corpse of a developer monster with one hand, dragging a long trail of blood behind him, and is slightly wider and slightly taller in shoulder width and height than the current Mu Ke, and wears a snug-fitting, cinched-waisted black suit, with a light-colored rose in his right suit pocket.

He wore gold-rimmed glasses with hanging chains, chains dangling from his ears, a reverse-cross pendant earring in his left ear that was swaying slightly, and was dressed elaborately like some new mall-goer who had just stepped out of a posh nightclub.

This mature version of Mu Ke looked across the room with nothing on his face as he raised his eyes, letting go of the already slain developer monster, he removed a folded land certificate from his pants pocket and held it up in a gesture, "Is this what you came looking for?"

Mu Ke calmly distanced himself from him, the man who looked just like him gave him a very dangerous feeling.

There is absolutely no way that this person could have been brought up by Bai Liu, because although Bai Liu doesn't inform anyone when he makes a decision, he will definitely inform them, the team members, of the results that this decision leads to.

So the only way this can happen now is if ......

Mu Ke's voice tightened, "Are you something summoned by Yuan Guang's skill?"

"Stuff?" Mu Ke from across the room finally looked squarely at the younger Mu Ke, "The only one who has the right to rate me as a thing is my president."

This Mu Ke's jaw lifted slightly, revealing a bit of reserved arrogance, and even the tone of his voice was not fast or slow: "Who are you to judge me like that?"

He said, leaning back and letting go of his hand as the land certificate slowly floated to the ground.

Mu Ke stared intently at the land certificate.

Across the table, however, Mu Ke's eyes were fixed on the black dagger in Mu Ke's hand, and his face darkened in a not-so-friendly way, "The president of this worldline got you skills?"

Mu Ke was keenly aware of his own emotional ups and downs across the room, and his eyes flicked to this Mu Ke's hand, his tail lifting slightly as he asked provocatively back, "Yeah, what, you didn't?"

Across the room Mu Ke finally stepped fully out of the shadows, Mu Ke noticed that he had no weapon in his hand, his hand was wrapped tightly in a white bandage from between his fingers to his wrist where his suit joined, and beyond that the neck was wrapped in a bandage several times as well.

He took a step towards Mu Ke, his eyes dark and uncertain, and while holding his hands flat, he slowly and solemnly unwrapped the bandages on his hands, starting with his fingertips, and explaining softly and unhurriedly:

"The president won't waste any time and energy on a player with no skills, and won't train such a person because there's no value."

"What has no value, does not deserve to survive." Mu Ke from across the room spoke softly, her delicate face had a somber look of gray tones in the dimly lit room, "It's like the reasoning that heart disease can't be present in long-lasting social relationships, it's an axiom of the world, and as Mu Ke, you should at least know that, right?"

Mu Ke's breathing was two beats quicker, but quickly calmed down, he was backing away warily as Mu Ke across the room approached.

"To be more valuable to the President, to stand in the same league matches as the President, to win for him as a member of his team." Across from him Mu Ke lifted his eyelids, the bandages that had been unwrapped from his sides sagged down to where his elbows were, "I trained hard, I worked hard, I killed a lot of players trying to take their skills, but unfortunately either they didn't want to give them to me, or their skills weren't what the Chairman wanted."

"So in the end, I became the only unskilled member of the Wandering Circus Warriors." Mu Ke's bandages finally dragged to the ground, and he slowly and methodically organized them onto a mahogany tabletop off to the side.

All the areas this Mu Ke had hidden under the bandages were exposed as he raised his eyes to look across the room at Mu Ke quietly : "Do you know how I became?"

Mu Ke's brow furrowed as he looked at those areas he'd exposed, no longer calm.

From between the fingers to the wrists, to the neck, all sorts of wounds, bruises and purple, scars and gunshot marks, dense and shocking, seeing these things on [one's] body is really not a pleasant experience.

"All it takes is perfect fighting skills, precise observation of the environment, and prediction of the enemy's behavior, and I'm the Chairman's alternate main attacker." The opposite Mu Ke's tail tone rose pleasantly as he looked at Mu Ke with a cold murderous intent, "Every time I ended a fight and a wound appeared on my body, it was the Chairman himself who wrapped the bandage around me, which represented the value I created for him on the field."

"The more scars I have on me, the more valuable I am to the Chairman."

"And you--"

Across the room, Mu Ke raises his hands, his leather-clad feet spinning and firing on the ground.

Almost just an instant later, this mature Mu Ke appeared in front of Mu Ke's eyes, lifted his hand and snatched the dagger from Mu Ke's hand, viciously slashing at Mu Ke's neck.

Mu Ke instantly leans back to avoid it, and at the same time moves with great speed to flip his hand to recall his weapon.

[System alert: Player Mu Ke recalls his skill weapon.]

The dagger in Mature Mu Ke's hand loomed and nearly disappeared, but it was the few milliseconds or less before it so disappeared that the man limbed almost faster than the system could logically judge.

At the very moment Mu Ke recalled his skill weapon, this Mu Ke gripped his dagger and backhanded Mu Ke's neck in a huge bloody cut.

Blood spattered and splattered on the gold-rimmed glasses of this Mu Ke.

He lowered his eyes and said in a tone of unprecedented disgust, "Your mediocrity and incompetence have failed the President in favor of you."

"I will kill you myself, with the dagger he has given me."
