Take You Home
The cell phone camera pans back up, and Gu Zhao knowingly asks, "Why is your face red?"
Ji Su blushed and whispered urgently, "You hurry up and get dressed."
Gu Zhao smiled and asked rhetorically, "What's the point of putting on clothes, you'll have to take them off later anyway."
Ji Su blinked her eyelashes in confusion, "Why?"
"Sleeping." Gu Zhao swung the camera down again, "I like to sleep naked, don't you know that?"
Ji Su: "......"
It's not about sleeping naked at all, it's about making it easier ......
Gu Zhao on the other end of the screen changed the subject, "Hungry?"
Su Ji raised his hand and rubbed his flat little stomach, "A little, but not very hungry."
"I ordered you takeout, I think it's almost here." Gu Zhao sat back in his chair, "Can you get takeout in there?"
Ji Su was stunned, "How do you know my home address?"
"I guessed." Gu Zhao let out a laugh, then explained, "The time your half-brother came to school, you told the cab driver the details of your home."
Ji Su's eyes widened slightly, "You remember all this?"
Gu Zhao returned earnestly, "I always have a good memory when it comes to you."
Ji Su looks at the person in the camera, and her nose gets a little sore.
On one side is the so-called family who doesn't remember his allergens, and on the other side is the lover who holds every bit of him close to her heart, and this huge gap is becoming more and more unbearable.
That's when the call came in from the delivery guy.
The delivery man is not allowed in the villa, and Ji Su walks silently down the stairs to the front door to pick up the delivery.
Luckily, it wasn't far, and he soon returned with takeout.
I just went up to the second floor and met Ji Chen.
"Brother, you're still awake?" Ji Chen said, his gaze falling on his hand, "What are you holding in your hand, brother? Takeout?"
Ji Su nods, "Yes, it's takeout."
"Right, you must not have eaten much at night." Ji Chen paused and said in a puzzled tone, "But you didn't have enough to eat, so why don't you let Mrs. Zhang make you another one?"
"I didn't order it." Ji Su didn't want to explain too much to him, "I'll go back to my room first, so get some rest early."
He walked straight back to his room and closed the door, shutting out Ji Chen who tried to follow him in.
Ji Su puts the takeout on the table, sets up her cell phone, and redials the video call.
Gu Zhao picks up, "Did you get the takeout?"
Ji Su held up the takeout to show him, "It's here, I was just about to eat."
"Good." Gu Zhao answered, "I'll watch you eat."
Ji Su started to eat the podcast to the cell phone camera, his eating style is very elegant and nice, when he opens his mouth, it will reveal white and neat teeth, the tip of his red tongue is hidden, and his lips become redder.
Gu Zhao stared for a moment, then suddenly spoke up and complimented, "It's beautiful."
"Huh?" Ji Su lifted her eyelashes, "What?"
"Beautiful teeth, beautiful tongue, beautiful lips." Gu Zhao intoned slowly and languidly back, "If only I could eat something else."
Ji Su swallowed the food in his mouth and probed his tongue to lick the corner of his lips, "What other stuff?"
Gu Zhao's dark eyes contained a smile, his handsome face came close to the screen, his thin lips opened and closed, and he clearly spat out four words.
It was clearly quite vulgar, but spoken in that low, magnetic voice, it somehow seemed compelling.
"Gu Zhao!" Ji Su raised his hand to cover the cell phone screen, "I'll hang up if you keep doing that!"
"What?" Gu Zhao propped one hand on his jaw and said with a smirk, "I've tasted yours, don't you want to taste mine?"
Ji Su held his tongue for a few seconds, and stifled two words, "I don't want to!"
"Oh." Gu Zhao's smile remained unchanged and he asked, "Are you full?"
Ji Su nodded subconsciously, "I'm full."
He got up and cleared the table, threw the takeout box in the trash, and went to wash his hands again before returning to the table.
Gu Zhao hadn't hung up the video yet and was sitting back against the bed watching him.
Ji Su picked up her cell phone and lay down on the bed, rubbing her slightly bulging belly, "I've eaten so much."
"Propped up on food?" Gu Zhao narrowed his dark eyes slightly, "Do you want to do exercise together and digest?"
"Doing it together through the cell phone screen?" Ji Su asked innocently, "What kind of exercise? Is it hard?"
"It's not hard." Gu Zhao gave a low chuckle, "With hands."
Ji Su got up from the bed, "How?"
Gu Zhao's line of sight traveled downward and landed on the snow-white skin exposed on his chest, "Take off your clothes first."
Ji Su was a little confused, "What kind of exercise do you need to do with your clothes off?"
Just as soon as the question was asked, it was an afterthought.
Gu Zhao's voice sank a little deeper, "Baby, do you want me to help you take it off?"
Ji Su's face turned red with flesh: "I don't want ......"
Gu Zhao's eyes pierced through the cell phone screen and stared straight at him, "Then take it off yourself."
Ji Su bit her lower lip and wheedled, lifting one hand, fingertips clumsily undoing a button.
"Baby is so good." Gu Zhao complimented, "Go on."
Despite his heartfelt shame, Ji Su gradually loses his territory under the patient guidance of his opposite ......
Gu Zhao clenched his back teeth, the side of his forehead veins bulging, bean-sized drops of sweat fell on the screen, hitting the "snap" sound.
Through the cell phone screen, Ji Su seemed to be hot and shivered ......
Ji Su ended up falling asleep with his cell phone in his arms, the familiar sound of his breathing in his ear reassuring him.
*
Early the next morning, Ji Su woke up to find that his cell phone had run out of battery power and turned itself off.
He got up and out of bed, charged his cell phone and went to the bathroom to wash up.
Ji Su went downstairs for breakfast, and the only people at the table were Ji Zhenghai and Auntie Qin, who talked and laughed as they ate.
He walked over and greeted, "Good morning, Dad, Auntie Qin."
Ji Zhenghai looked over at him, "What time is it to get up?"
Ji Su didn't answer and asked in a salty manner, "Where's Ji Chen?"
Ji Zhenghai frowned, "How old is he and how old are you?"
"Aiya, Susu is still young." Aunt Qin's lips slightly stiffened in a smile, and she warmly rounded off the conversation by saying, "It's normal for children to like to sleep in."
Ji Zhenghai wanted to say something else, but was stopped by Auntie Qin's look.
Ji Su pulled out a chair and sat down, coped with the task of eating a few bites, and went back upstairs.
At lunchtime, he went downstairs again to find a few of the usual must-have seafood dishes missing from the table.
"Brother!" Ji Chen ran over, hugged his arm, and said in an inviting manner, "I purposely told Zhang Ma that I didn't cook any seafood for lunch today!"
Ji Su was silent for a few seconds and whispered back, "Thank you."
After lunch, Ji Su was about to go back to school when a visitor arrived at the house.
Uncle Fang is a business associate of Ji Zhenghai and has a daughter the same age as Ji Su.
At first Ji Su didn't think much of it until the crowd got to the table.
"Ji Su, Hope is a college student just like you." Ji Zhenghai's rare face was as gentle as his tone, "Hope is studying art, right Hope?"
"Yes, Uncle Ji, I studied dance in college." Fang Yuan returned with a smiling face and then turned her face to actively ask, "Ji Su, what did you study?"
Ji Zhenghai replied, "He's studying architecture, but he's still going to be in the company in the future."
Ji Su pursed her lips and hung her eyelashes without speaking.
Uncle Fang took over the conversation, "It's good to study architecture, you never have to worry about unemployment in this line of work ahahaha!"
"The real estate industry has been in a recession for a long time, so what future is there?" Ji Zhenghai waved his hand, "Besides, do you really expect him to run construction sites in the future?"
"Dad." Ji Su raised his eyes and said expressionlessly, "Architecture students have a wide range of employment directions, even if they really go to run construction sites, it's still a dignified job, I don't feel ashamed."
Ever since he was a child, Ji Su has been used to being denied by Ji Zhenghai. Everything he does is useless in Ji Zhenghai's eyes, and even when he got into the University of A, he didn't get a single word of praise, and instead he was accused of choosing a profession with no future.
Because of those repeated denials, he had at one point fallen into self-doubt, wondering if he was really that bad, wondering if he really didn't deserve to be loved.
Until he met Gu Zhao.
This was Ji Su's first rebuttal to Ji Zhenghai's words, and it wasn't a strong tone, but it was like a slap in Ji Zhenghai's face that caught him off guard.
Ji Zhenghai's face turned dark, but because of the people at the table, he didn't have the heart to snap on the spot.
A meal that was eaten by people with different minds.
After a while, Fang Yuan had something to do and had to leave first.
Ji Zhenghai sent again, "Ji Su, you see Hope off."
Ji Su refused bluntly, "Sorry Ms. Fang, I have other things to do."
"You--" Ji Zhenghai scolded, "What could you possibly have to be busy with? Go!"
"Uncle Ji, I can go by myself." Fang Yuan politely said goodbye, "Next time you have a chance, come back and bother me again."
After a night together, Uncle Fang also saw that Ji Su didn't have that in mind, and got up to say goodbye, "Old Ji, I suddenly remembered that there's a meeting that hasn't been held, so I have to go back as well."
After the guests had all left, Ji Zhenghai called Ji Su to his study and finally couldn't hold back his outburst, cursing, "Rebellious son, are you going to piss off your old man alive?"
Ji Su was calm, "So you called me back to actually get me on a blind date?"
"How old are you, and you're still not dating?" Ji Zhenghai slammed the table, "If you have a girlfriend, why should I worry about it?"
"Is it to get me a date or something else?" Ji Su asked, "Are you trying to get me a business marriage?"
Ji Zhenghai exasperatedly replied back, "What business association, what are you babbling about?"
"What if it's Ji Chen?" Ji Su looked at him without blinking, "Would you also be willing to let Ji Chen give up the person she likes to join forces for the sake of the company?"
Ji Zhenghai barked, "I'm talking about you, what are you doing bringing up your brother again?"
Ji Su said word for word, "Because you are too biased."
"Because I look so much like my mother, and my presence is a constant reminder of your marriage that failed miserably, I can understand your dislike of me." Without giving Ji Zhenghai a chance to speak, he continued, "But was I born of my own free will?"
Ji Zhenghai's face flashed with dismay, and for a moment he was speechless.
"Although the grace of birth and upbringing is greater than heaven, but I ask myself, over the years, what I have received from you is only money, not love." Ji Su took out a card from his pocket and put it on the desk, "This card contains my savings over the years, a total of two hundred thousand dollars, I will transfer money into it every month for the next few months until I pay off the debt I owe."
"You're settling accounts with me?" Ji Zhenghai was so angry that he copied a thick book and slammed it over, "You want to cut ties with your old man?"
Ji Su didn't dodge, letting the book hit his forehead, leaving a sharp scrape, and faintly returned, "For you, having Ji Chen as a son is enough, isn't it?"
"Good ...... good! Very good!" Ji Zhenghai slapped the table several times, "You've got hard wings, you're marvelous! Get out of here, the farther away the better! Leave this door and never return to the Ji family!"
Ji Chen, who was hiding outside the door and eavesdropping, finally couldn't hold back and pushed open the study door, "Brother! Don't be impulsive!"
Ji Su moves toward the door, "Move over."
"I won't let you!" Ji Chen deadlocked the door, "If you don't like that woman, why did you make such a mess with dad!"
"You don't know why, because growing up, everyone in this family obeyed you in everything." Ji Su raised her eyes to his, "So you can never appreciate what I'm going through."
Ji Chen stared with a pair of big eyes and said incoherently, "Brother, I ...... am sorry I ......"
"You have nothing to apologize for." Ji Su lowered her eyes, "Only that we're not on the same page after all."
Ji Zhenghai yelled, "Let him go!"
Ji Su also repeated, "Let me out."
Ji Chen could only unwillingly let go of his hand and stood a little to the side.
Ji Su took a few steps and then spoke out again, "By the way, the password is Ji Chen's birthday."
After saying that, he left the study without looking back.
Ji Zhenghai sat back in his chair, his face blue and white, panting and gurgling.
Ji Su went back to her room, packed up the few things she had and put what she could take in her bag, then sent a message to Gu Zhao.
Ji Su : [ Gu Zhao, I'm going back tonight, I might be a little late.]
There was no reply from the other side, probably busy with something else.
Ji Su took one last look at his room, put on his backpack and walked out.
There was a banging commotion from the study, and he walked indifferently down the stairs, past Ji Chen, who was looking at him blearily, and out the front door, one step at a time.
Out of the prison where he was born and raised and imprisoned for many years.
Ji Su walked to the curb and tried to use the software to call a car.
Just then, he unintentionally raised his eyes, and his heart skipped a beat.
A black Audi was parked on the side of the road under a streetlight, and the tall, leggy boy was leaning against the door.
The posture was idle, the expression stoic, as if he had been standing waiting for him.
Four eyes met, and Gu Zhao strutted his long legs toward him.
Ji Su's brain went blank for a few seconds, waiting for the person to walk up to him before he could barely find his voice, "What are you ...... doing here?"
Gu Zhao opened his arms and whispered back, "Came to take you home."
In an instant, the aggression Ji Su had hidden in his heart swarmed to him, and he threw away his backpack and ran headlong into a warm and generous embrace.
Like a lost child who has finally found his way home after a lot of hard work, all the pretenses that he had been holding on to fell apart.
Ji Su buried her face in Gu Zhao's shoulder, and the tears that seeped out of her face soon dampened her black shirt.
Gu Zhao slowly tightened his embrace and held him close, his voice slightly hoarse, "It's okay, I'll take you home."
Ji Su choked in his throat, opened his mouth, and could only let out one word: "Good ......"
At this moment, he suddenly realized--
It turns out that home isn't about a house, it's about people.
Anywhere is home as long as there are people who love you.
