Unfair game?
With a crunching sound, the short clock hand at Tang Mo's feet begins to slide slowly to the left. It slid clockwise four times in a row, and finally landed firmly on the 24th frame. Tang Mo raised his step and walked into the 24th frame. At the other end of the Truth Clock, the minute hand at Black Tu Zi's feet slides backward. It has moved back two squares, and should have stepped into the 60th square, but after the minute hand has passed, Black Tu Zi has not moved.
The indifferent voice of the Truth Clock rang out, "Please ask the 0-point player to enter the correct grid."
Black Tu Zi just stomped the ground and popped up on the 60th frame.
The giant Russian black rabbit nesting doll hits the ground hard, and the earth shakes slightly. The round ends without a penalty for either Black Tu Zi or Tang Mo. Black Tu Zi has backed up two squares, apparently giving up on eliminating items, but Tang Mo has backed up a full four squares.
How does that number look wrong.
"Last time it was a level 5 non universal truth ...... What is the reason this time?" Tang Mo's calm voice rang out.
Black Tu Zi raised his head, stared coldly at Tang Mo, and did not speak.
Tang Mo The corners of his mouth hooked up and he said no more.
If someone is watching now, they will realize that Black Tu Zi seems to have changed completely, and is very different from before. From the moment Tang Mo met this Russian black rabbit, the other party has always been a violent and irritable, ferocious and brutal image. As soon as he walks up to the truth clock, he makes cruel remarks, threatening to eat Tang Mo and dip Tang Mo's eyeballs into the candy.
In the mouth of Black Tu Zi, it has eaten countless humans through the Truth Clock.
This Black Tu Zi is similar to every Black Tower monster Tang Mo has ever seen. He is neurotic, sinister and vicious, has an attitude of "eat" towards humans, and likes to hum some off-key songs and say some creepy things. If there's one difference, it's that Black Tu Zi is bad in a slightly more superficial way. Whether it's Mario or Pinocchio, they love to act. Watching the human player being played for a fool is their greatest pleasure.
One man and one rabbit stared at each other silently on the Truth Clock, and after a long time, a raspy male voice came out from the body of Black Tu Zi's Russian nesting doll, "...... When did you find out about it."
"At first."
Black Tu Zi's eyes widened in dismay, and after a long moment he said, "At first?!"
In the silent black space, Tang Mo looked at the Russian nesting dolls not far away and faintly said, "When the game hadn't even begun, because I grabbed Mr. Tu Zi's tail, I fell directly from the air and fell onto the Truth Clock. I didn't have any choice, and was forced to stand on this clock, blocked by it in an invisible cage, unable to leave. But ...... "After a pause, Tang Mo looked at Black Tu Zi fixedly and said, "You came up here on your own."
Black Tu Zi's face was full of astonishment, its eyes rolled and it kept thinking. After a minute, it seemed to finally understand where it was wrong, and laughed bitterly twice.
Yes, from the very beginning Tang Mo was wondering what the purpose of this Black Tu Zi was.
Black Tu Zi walks onto the Truth Clock of its own accord. Before walking on the Truth Clock, its body was not restricted by the Truth Clock, and it could move freely (including choosing to walk on the Truth Clock). After walking up to the Truth Clock, it is trapped in this small space of less than one square meter, just like Tang Mo. It says that it has played the Truth Clock game and has eaten many humans with this magical clock. It does know how to turn on the Truth Clock, and has always acted like it knows the Truth Clock game well.
But after walking on this clock, no one can be sure that he or she will not die in this game, which is fully controlled by the Truth Clock. Where does Black Tu Zi get the confidence that it will win Tang Mo and not lose the game and fall into the black hole of Truth?
There are two possibilities. The first is that it's just so arrogant and cocky that it doesn't care about human players like Tang Mo. But more likely, it really has something to rely on.
What is this weapon that makes Black Tu Zi confidently walk on the truth clock and play a game with Tang Mo with his life?
For the first half hour, Tang Mo had been thinking about this. He had thought that it was some kind of special prop, or that Black Tu Zi was really smart and good at playing this game. Until that time, a total of 48 items appeared, and both Tang Mo and Black Tu Zi tried their best to eliminate them. In the end, Tang Mo moved forward seven squares, while Black Tu Zi went backward ten squares.
"When very few items appeared, you always advanced more than me and had the upper hand. But once there are a lot of items appearing, whether it's 48 items in the third round or 28 items in the eighth round, you move forward much less than me." Tang Mo's voice was calm, "With fewer items, you advance more; with more items, you advance less. This is a test of the player's brain power, eyesight, memory ...... test of the player's hard power, the more items there are, the more difficult the game is. This difficulty rises exponentially. Going through those two rounds of the game proved that you are not stronger than me, and are still much weaker than me."
Black Tu Zi : "I just happen to have a few items I haven't seen before."
Tang Mo ignored it, "Especially for the 48 items in the third round, you went backwards too many frames. The advantage you had only accumulated in two rounds of the game all disappeared in that round, and you haven't even made up for it until now. This shows that you and I are equal in terms of participation in the truth clock game, at least you don't have any props or treasures that will allow you to ensure that you move forward for a greater number of frames than I do for sure. Then the question comes ...... why in the world you want to walk on the truth clock and open this game with me."
It's a game where you have to bet your life and you are not sure you can win. What is the reason for Black Tu Zi to boldly walk on the Truth Clock?
There's only one possibility.
"It's not that you want to walk up, you're forced to walk up." Tang Mo concludes decisively.
Black Tu Zi looked at Tang Mo with a complicated and odd look, its body swaying slightly. After a moment, it began to laugh. A hoarse and unpleasant laughter came out from the body of that wooden condom, it said it was laughing, but it laughed in a very tired manner, no longer having that kind of violent and furious look it had before.
Black Tu Zi thought a lot about how to act to fool this player since before he stepped on this truth clock. He did try his best, he tried hard to intimidate Tang Mo, he kept disguising himself, he portrayed himself as a stupid Tu Zi with no brain and very manic, even Tang Mo was fooled by him, but he still lost.
"What I lost to was luck." Black Tu Zi said, "If I had recognized all four of the items that appeared in that round of High Truth just now, I would have been able to tell give you the information to answer all four items, instead of choosing to answer only two of them and forgo the other two, thus receiving no penalty. A delicious stowaway bun, and another cup of what is obviously human blood. You know at a glance what to eliminate with those two. It's just those other two, the half-eaten skittles and a pink scented pouch, both of which I don't know what they are myself and can't give you a hint. So you chose to give up and not answer."
Game Rule #10: Only four items will appear on the Truth Clock every hour. The truth of that item is a High Truth.
The first time a High Truth item appeared, Black Tu Zi "inadvertently" revealed the information about the tasty stowaway bun. Tang Mo went back three squares that round, and Black Tu Zi went back one square. Tang Mo had no problem with the number of squares, so he could have interpreted this as meaning that he had answered two items incorrectly, and gave up eliminating two items, thus going back three squares.
But the problem was that he was not punished. Black Tu Zi, quick on the uptake, immediately said that Tang Mo was exempt from punishment because it was a "Level 5 Non-Universal Truth". Some other players might have believed him, but not Tang Mo. And ......
"The half-eaten skittles were Granny Wolf's favorite brand of food, and the pink scented pouch that Granny Wolf of Monster Valley always kept by her bedside. That's the separate truth between them." Upon hearing this, Black Tu Zi looked at Tang Mo in consternation, only to see Tang Mo smile slightly, "Those were the two items I eliminated in that round, and I forgo eliminating the packet and the blood."
Black Tu Zi: "You already know what buns and blood are, and you're not even going to eliminate them?!"
"You are my enemy. Will you believe the information that your enemy reveals to you, even if eight out of ten|nine of it is correct ......?"
Black Tu Zi: "......"
Tang Mo pursed her lips as she watched Black Tu Zi's frustrated and chagrined appearance.
In fact, there were many things he hadn't said yet, and there was no need to say them. In this game, Black Tu Zi has already lost its biggest bargaining chip--
Black Tu Zi and Tang Mo, two items that can also be eliminated.
From the very beginning, when Tang Mo says "Black Tu Zi is a Black Tower Boss" and the Truth Clock gives him a denial, he is implying that this Black Tu Zi is not a Black Tower Boss, or even that it is probably not a Black Tower monster. It is a human.
When there are fewer items, Black Tu Zi has the upper hand; when there are more, Tang Mo has the advantage. This is not because Black Tu Zi can only eliminate a small number of items; it can't deal with a large number of items. Rather, it's that the "two-frame advantage" it has is lost when there are a lot of items.
Black Tu Zi has a two-square advantage. Since Tang Mo doesn't eliminate itself and Black Tu Zi every round, it goes back two squares every round. This is hard for Tang Mo to realize. For example, in the first round of the game, out of the six items, he went back one square. Tang Mo thought that he had answered two items correctly and four items incorrectly, so he moved forward one square and backward two squares, resulting in a final result of one square backward. But now he thought that he had actually answered four items correctly. He advances two squares and backs up one square, only to back up two squares again because he didn't eliminate himself and Black Tu Zi. Add it all up and end up one frame back.
Another example is the round where only two items appeared. This is a temptation for Tang Mo to get rid of the items and pass the game. But Tang Mo chose to give up. He didn't eliminate any of the items. Assuming he eliminated the items in a hurry, he could have moved forward one square by eliminating the items, but then he would have been forced to move back two more squares because he didn't eliminate himself and Black Tu Zi. The ending is one square back, which can again be explained by "Tang Mo answered the wrong truth".
The only way to prove that there really are "two items that can be eliminated but never are" is if he moves back four squares. These two items are Black Tu Zi and Tang Mo.
There's a big bug in the rules of this game: if Tang Mo and Black Tu Zi eliminate all the items on the Truth Clock at the same time, which one of them is the winner?
There are three ways to pass the game: catching up with the opponent, the opponent's own death, and eliminating all items.
There can only be one winner on the Truth Clock, when two players eliminate all the items at the same time, who is the real winner? This biggest loophole in the game rules makes Tang Mo even more determined to give up eliminating those two items. Because there is only one answer to explain this loophole: Black Tu Zi's game rules are different from his.
Tang Mo eliminates all items to pass the game, Black Tu Zi eliminates all items not to pass the game.
Tang Mo identifies Black Tu Zi's true dependence by giving up the elimination of two items.
Time passed by minute by minute, and soon, ten minutes were up, and fourteen blue rays of light flashed up in the center of the Truth Clock. Seeing these fourteen rays of light, Black Tu Zi seemed to suddenly realize something as it exclaimed, "I didn't lose!"
Tang Mo look up at it.
Black Tu Zi's gaze became fierce once again, a hint of delight flashed across its face as it sneered, ''Right, the game has only just begun, I haven't lost, and you don't necessarily have to win either. As long as I catch up with you, you will lose! Even if you know about it, so what, it's just a fair duel between us. I will definitely win!"
The blue light gradually dimmed. Looking at Black Tu Zi's gnashing teeth, Tang Mo curled his lips, and before those fourteen items were completely revealed, he said in a calm voice, ''I've guessed the general truth, there's only one thing I'm not really sure about. The Black Tower can force players to participate in the game, perhaps it can also force the underground people, the Black Tower monsters, to participate in the game it designed. When I entered this game, the Black Tower said it was my single player game. So ......"
The blue color completely dissipated, fourteen items appeared, and the second hand of the Truth Clock once again walked, it also made a mechanical sound to remind the two players present to prepare to eliminate the items.
In the background sound of the Truth Clock that had no ups and downs, Tang Mo's gaze grew cold. He said word for word, "The only thing I'm not sure about is ...... are you a human player?"
The expression on Black Tu Zi's face shifted, and in the next second it suddenly laughed maniacally, ''Stupid human, you actually think I am a human? This is the funniest joke I've heard this year. I will definitely eat you, hahahahaha, tear you into pieces and eat them all!"
Tang Mo curled her lips, "Oh, you really are a human player."
Black Tu Zi's laughter came to an abrupt end, and he looked at Tang Mo in disbelief. Tang Mo, however, stopped looking at him and looked down at the fourteen items.
Black Tu Zi roared, "Tang Mo!!!"
Tang Mo froze, raised an eyebrow and muttered, "You even know my name? That would be a bit unfair."
Round 10 of the game, officially.
