They are the humans!
Inside the noisy customs house, a yellow fox strutted up to the two wolves. At first, the fox was a little scared when he saw that the other was a wolf. But then he foxed up, "Hey, quickly hand over the stuff. I don't want you to hide anything, I'm not one of those useless underground people who can't see that you're hiding things in your belts, your teeth, or the soles of your feet. Hand it over!"
It's just a perfectly normal process of collecting items.
The yellow fox smugly held out his chin, in front of him, the wolf wearing a yellow vest narrowed his eyes and stared at him coldly. The yellow fox cowered a bit, not daring to be too arrogant.
Pitt looked at the fox with an expressionless face, as if trying to tell if he was a player or not. After a couple of seconds, he hooked up the corners of his mouth, and in the fox's eyes, he grinned a bloody grin.
"We did try to smuggle stuff in."
The fox froze, not expecting the wolf to be so cooperative. However, in the next second, Pitt said, "You collected things instead of that gnome, you must have paid him, right?" After so much time had passed, Pitt had long since realized that these monsters had the fox as their leader, and the reason why they were helping the underground people to scavenge for fellow monsters was to report the smugglers and get reward money.
"That underground man looks greedy. If you work with him, you'll definitely bleed a lot." The blonde alien sneered and named a number, "Four or six, or five or five?"
The fox was surprised at how smart the wolf was, and he rolled his eyes, "What are you trying to say?"
There's no need to answer, it's a default.
Pitt removes a flask from his sleeve, "What I'm going to smuggle in is this."
The Yellow Fox laughed, "The tariffs on liquor and cigarettes can be frighteningly high, especially since you had the audacity to smuggle in Banana Tavern's banana wine, which is incredibly expensive! No wonder you want to smuggle it!" Saying that, the fox pretended to report in a loud voice, but his movements were extremely slow and he didn't open his mouth immediately.
Where Pitt didn't know what he was trying to do, he thought to himself, "Heh, the Black Tower Monster is actually just as greedy and selfish as some of the dumbasses on Earth."
While talking to the other monsters earlier Pitt knew, the approximate price of the bottle. He said lazily, "This bottle of wine is worth about 10 silver coins, and to smuggle it, you have to pay 5 silver coins. I'll give you 3 silver coins now and you can pretend you didn't see anything."
The fox rebuked, "Am I such a monster? We foxes are good people who are honest and trustworthy! And after the search, that underground man will come and search you all."
"Don't worry, I can hide it. The Undergrounders are blind, aren't they?"
The fox hadn't said anything yet.
Pitt said, "Four silver coins!"
"Yes!"
The fox beautifully left with 4 silver coins and went back to scavenging the next monster. After Pitt's gaze never left his, a male voice rang out from beside him, "Is that fox the guy from Monster Team 1 or not?"
Pitt licked his teeth and gave a bloodthirsty grin, "Guess."
David: "Not really."
"The IQ of the underground people is generally not very good, we've participated in so many Black Tower games, the higher the level of the BOSS the higher the IQ, it can also be said that the higher the intelligence, the lower the level of the BOSS the more stupid it is. The average IQ of monsters is even lower than that of the underground people."
David suddenly realized, "You mean that fox is too smart? Then he's a player!"
"Yes, he's too smart. But he's not that player. He's a fox, and it's normal for him to be a bit smarter than other monsters, but if he really was that asshole, he wouldn't have taken my advice. He would have reported me and seized my items up. Now that my items aren't in the loot, there's no way for the Customs Team players to find them." After a pause, Pitt laughed wryly, "Would a guy from Monster Team 1 be that stupid? He's smart, but only a little bit smart. Don't let me catch him, I'll break him into pieces!"
Pitt's guess was right, as Chen Shanshan stood in the mountain of stolen goods, scrutinizing for something unique. After a long time, however, everything was at least in pairs, and nothing stood alone.
The little girl clutched her lollipop and licked it as she looked on with a calm expression.
After a few moments, she saw the fox and the other monsters gathered, ready to turn in to the gnome official. The monsters were checking what they had searched, and in passing, they took out a bit of copper and silver coins and stuffed them into the fox, thanking him for pulling themselves into the group. However, it was at this moment that a faint female voice rang out, "Did someone collect money privately and not send over the loot."
The monsters froze, and the yellow fox's body stiffened, "Tu Zi, what are you talking about, we're such monsters?"
The monsters then reacted, "Ah, there is such a way?"
Indeed, most monsters wouldn't think of this trick.
Unless one reaches the level of the Wolf Granny, they're a bit smarter. Most of the Black Tower monsters are simple and naive. They liked to eat humans and earthlings, but they were very stupid and didn't know how to change. If the targets of their scavenging were really monsters, those monsters would just be stupid enough to be reported and wouldn't even think about bribing them.
The only people who can think of this and boldly implement it are the players.
Yellow Fox didn't intend to reveal his acceptance of bribes, he righteously rebuked Chen Shanshan. Chen Shanshan looked at him and guessed that he was the one who had accepted the bribes from the Monster Team 2, he said, "I don't want to blame anyone, everyone is making money. Looking at Yellow Fox, Chen Shanshan said, "I am not trying to blame anyone, everyone is making money, thanks Fox, you also helped me make a little money."
Obviously it was Chen Shanshan who made the suggestion in the first place, but she gave all the credit to the fox, and it was the fox that everyone was grateful for, giving him all the money.
The fox had a little bit of a heart attack.
Chen Shanshan continued, "But if it does happen, I have another idea and would like to ask that person to spill the beans on the bribery monster. Don't look at me like that, I hate this kind of behavior very much. When I lived in the Elven Savannah, it was the Lao Ying granny who bribed my clan leader, causing me to be almost eaten if I went out to forage for food. But I made that guy speak up just so he could make more money."
The fox narrowed his eyes at that, "What do you mean?"
"Since someone would bribe, it means that what he's trying to smuggle in is so important that he doesn't want to hand it over to be found by those damn Undergrounders."
The fox thought: yes, with something as delicious as banana wine, those underground people might just drink it and give the empty bottle to that wolf.
One had to admit that the underground people were much more cunning than their monsters, always pulling all sorts of tricks. He, Mr. Fox, was very smart to spot these tricks, and that wolf was so stupid at first glance that he definitely couldn't spot that it was an empty bottle.
Chen Shanshan : "Spill the beans on that monster, can't the rest of us ...... charge him something too?"
The fox looked at Chen Shanshan in dismay : "It can still be like this?!"
The fish had already taken the bait, Chen Shanshan laughed, "Why not. All we need to do is to say that a few people didn't search clearly and we need to search again. When we search again, we can switch to someone else to search the monster, so we can collect the bribe again, right? Mr. Smart Fox, this is not a losing proposition. Just give out the information, and I promise, I'll go search, and I'll give half the bribe, thanks to the monster who shared the information with me!"
Chen Shanshan winked cunningly, and the fox's heart was moved. However the fox greedily said, "Why can we only search again and not a few more times? What's wrong with searching a few more times when we haven't given anything to the underground people yet anyway."
Chen Shanshan said it didn't matter.
The fox swallowed and whispered, "Guys, it was actually me who received the bribe. Eh don't you glare at me, I didn't mean to. Now I'll share the information with everyone, and each of us can make money! Although those two wolves might get impatient after a few searches and decide to be reported by us. But until then, it's great that we can get an extra buck as usual!"
Three minutes later, Pitt is leaning against the wall, catching the breeze coming through the window. He sees a large, stocky gorilla thumping his way up to him. A sense of foreboding wells up in Pitt's mind, and soon in his afterglow, he sees a few more monsters walk up next to him and stand in front of the other monsters that have collected their belongings.
The gorilla opened his mouth at him, and the stench of his breath came out of his nose: "Just now ...... Ahem, just now I didn't search clearly, there are omissions, we have to collect again!"
Pitt didn't react for a second.
The gorilla was thin-skinned, he couldn't act this kind of bribe-grabbing, and blushed, "Hey, I said I want to search again!"
Pitt: "......"
With a thud, the blonde foreigner's fist slammed hard into the wall of the cabin, smashing a large hole.
The gorilla was so startled by the wolf that he almost wanted to turn back.
Pitt slowly raised his head and gritted his teeth, "Oh ...... tell me, how much do you want?"
......Fuck that monster first team of assholes!
Three monsters in a row came to Pitt's to scam him out of money, and David couldn't watch any longer. "Damn, that asshole must already know we're players, but he's still hiding in those twenty monsters, we can't find him. Pitt, what to do, we don't have much money left, a couple more monsters and we won't be able to bribe them. And that guy already knows who we are, it's pointless for us to give any more money, why don't we just turn in the loot?"
"Stupid! What do you know! Hand the thing over and it's out of our hands. It's not too difficult for the guys from Customs Team 1 to get it, just sneak it away. But if the item is in our hands, even if they know that we're players and that the loot is this bottle of wine, they'll have to defeat us to take it, and they'll expose|reveal their own identities."
David: "What the hell!"
Pitt let out a mocking laugh through his nose, "Really think I can't catch who that guy is?"
A minute later, a short, skinny Tu Zi walks up to David and Pitt, holding a lollipop. David takes four silver coins out of his money bag and bribes him. Tu Zi takes the coins, shrinks in fear, turns around and runs away.
Pitt glanced at Tu Zi and withdrew his eyes, tapping his fingers on his arm, "There are twenty monsters in all, and that asshole is hiding in those twenty. That fox isn't, and I don't think that gorilla from earlier is either."
David added, "That Tu Zi doesn't look like one either."
"Monster Team 1's mission difficulty is much lower than yours and mine, and Customs Team's mission difficulty is no worse than ours. So most likely, we're on the same level as Team Customs, and they're also raiding the fifth level, at least four. And the asshole on team one, he's raiding level three, level four at most." Pitt smiled grimly, "Dear David, as stupid as you've always been, can you tell me what you think a player on the third level of the Black Tower would look like?"
Inside the glass hut, the exams for the Grounders' officers were in their final stages.
Tang Mo doesn't intentionally leave questions blank; he looks like he knows what he's doing, and even when he comes across the oddest question, he fills in the blank lines so that no one can see a single mistake.
However, eventually, the paper has to be handed in.
Seeing that the items outside were pretty much searched, the midget officer told his assistant to get ready to collect the rolls. But just as the aide was about to go down to collect the rolls, a shrill cry was heard from outside the glass window.
"Ahhhhhh you really are human, you really are that damn human!"
In the group of monsters, a yellow-furred fox paralyzed in terror, pointing fearfully at the two wolves standing by the window.
The monsters burst into an uproar, staring warily at the two wolves. David and Pitt looked at each other confused at first, and after a moment, Pitt glared angrily at the dozen or so monsters off to the side, "FUCK THAT FUCKING ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The Customs hut was in chaos, David roared "I'm not human", but the other monsters thought otherwise.
You can't let go of a thousand wrongs.
The weak monsters were so scared that they rushed out of the room, afraid that they would be killed by the humans. They couldn't beat the humans. However, the monsters that prided themselves on being strong formed a circle and surrounded towards the two wolves little by little. No one noticed that the fox that screamed just now quietly burrowed into the crowd.
The yellow-haired fox muttered, ''Hmph, paying twenty silver coins for a bottle of banana wine would have been suspicious. Besides, who cares if you guys are human or not. First, I'll arrest you guys and put you in jail for a few months. I'm the one who caused you guys to have to pay so much extra money, you think I don't know that you guys will definitely want to take revenge on me after you pass. I, Mr. Fox, won't let you guys retaliate!"
After walking out of the crowd, the fox pulled out five silver coins and shoved them into Tu Zi's hand, "Ahem, this is payment for thanking you for reminding me."
Tu Zi obediently accepted the coins and stood quietly, watching the monsters surround the two wolves.
The fox was skeptical, "Huh, you're so smart, you're not human, are you?"
Chen Shanshan was like a frightened Tu Zi, trembling in fear: "Am I, am I smart, I didn't do anything at all. Wasn't it you yourself, Mr. Fox, who organized everyone to collect the money?"
The yellow fox looked at her for a few moments and took it in stride, "Also, where are the humans as weak as you, hahaha."
Inside the glass hut, the midget officer angrily said, "What's the situation?"
The dog-legged gnome ran in as if he was afraid, "Report!!!! Sir, I think we've found humans, we've found two humans!!!"
Tang Mo quickly turned his head and locked eyes with Fu Wenduo. Two words rang in both of their heads-
Shanshan!
The officer was delighted, then his face sank, "No good, those humans are all very powerful, I've already notified Mr. Peter Pan to come and help, but he hasn't arrived yet." As the words fell, the gnome chief turned his head to look at his subordinates. His assistants were still thinking of collecting the rolls, and the gnome chief roared, "What do you care about the rolls, there are two ready-made humans now. Quick, come with me and get those two humans! Catch them and eat them!"
The Underground Man, who had long since stopped wanting to make rolls, roared excitedly at this, "Catch them and eat them!"
The whole customs, instantly boiling.
The monsters tried to grab the humans, and the Undergrounders swarmed out of the glass hut and went straight for the two wolves.
The test papers were left behind by them, and Tang Mo, without moving, tore his own and Fu Wenduo's papers into pieces, and then took the papers of the four underground people and tore them into pieces as well. The fragments piled up together, and it was impossible to tell who had written them.
Fu Wenduo raised his eyebrows at him.
Tang Mo replied, "Just in case."
The two followed the other Undergrounders and quickly made their way out of the gate.
Among the monsters, David is still arguing that he's not human. Pitt, on the other hand, is no longer struggling. His eyes were fixed on the dozen or so monsters. From now on, he doubted anyone but the fox.
This is when the guy from Monster Team 1 is most likely to show his cracks. He might not be able to help but pay attention to the Grounders officials and try to identify the Customs Team players from within.
It's the human heart.
No amount of intelligence can prevent one from subconscious behavior.
At this point, all the monsters would only be looking at them, and the only ones looking at the Undergrounders could only be a team of assholes.
Chen Shanshan hugged his lollipop and carefully observed the officials who came out of the glass huts. Just at this moment, a sorrowful voice suddenly rang out in the group of monsters, "Oh, asshole, I've found you!"
