Chapter 104: Bombing a ship
The later it gets.
The male's cries become higher and higher pitched, and his tail slaps the floor with a resounding thud.
Blood eels are beasts too, and when you look at them the way you look at beasts, you can see that the males are courting the females. Among the males, one blood eel is extremely large, standing closest to the female and roaring at the approaching males.
The male is cowered by the roar, and wanders about in an agitated manner.
"This fish is the chief, right?" Zhuo Zhongqiu lowered his voice.
Ye Xun said, "It should be."
After finding the alpha male, Jiang Luo sends out the snake. The golden python travels low and low through the gaps in the school, slowly approaching the female blood eel.
Behind the container, eight pairs of eyes stared daggers at the Sith Snake.
The males did not notice the golden python. The snake managed to get close to the female and the crowd held their breath, cheering for the snake.
In anticipation, the serpent silently crawls over the female and wraps itself around her.
Several people breathed a sigh of relief at the same time, but that breath was only released when a loud noise came from behind them.
Jiang Luo looked back and saw Cheng Li holding Lisa, looking towards them in a panic.
At their feet, the fire extinguisher was knocked over and rolled to the ground.
At that moment, Ge Zhu stiffly tugged on Jiang Luo's shirt, "Jiang Luo, oh no."
Jiang Luo looked back to the deck, and all the blood eels on the deck turned back at the same time, and on their strange heads, a pair of bulb-sized blood-red eyes looked at them silently.
Jiang Luo made an immediate decision, "There's a change of plan, start the operation earlier!"
After saying that, he turned around and ran towards Cheng Li, and without saying anything, he took Lisa in Cheng Li's arms into his own.
At the same time, the Si Snake violently wrapped up the female fish and rose into the air. The female fish let out a panicked cry from her mouth, and the male fish on the deck instantly entered a state of fury, with one male fish colliding with each other and chasing towards the female fish with a low roar.
The humans and the blood eels instantly started a chase. Jiang Luo held Lisa in his arms and asked as he ran, "Lisa, why are you and Uncle Cheng Li making noise?"
"Uncle Cheng Li kept turning his head to look at the deck," Lisa's voice took on a sobbing tone as she was startled, "but by accident, he knocked over the fire extinguisher."
"It's all right, don't cry," Jiang Luo said soothingly, "Did you see your father on deck?"
Lisa sobbed, "The biggest fish was my dad."
A look of relief appeared on Jiang Luo's face, Lisa hugged his neck, "Brother, are Dad and the others going to die?"
"How can that be," Jiang Luo said at once, in an easy tone, not at all ashamed of deceiving a child, "Brother is only keeping them locked up to keep them from hurting us. Lisa's father will be brought ashore with us. Doesn't Lisa want to go ashore to find a doctor to cure her father? It will be easier to take papa ashore with us."
Lisa nodded sweetly, "Thank you brother."
Jiang Luo hugged her tightly and gave her a smile.
The serpent wraps itself around the female and follows Jiang Luo, and behind them are swarms of irrational males in pursuit.
In order to slow down the speed of the blood eels, Jiang Luo made a detour through a narrow path. By the time he got to the bilge door, Lu Youyi and Kuang Zheng had already opened the bilge door ahead of time, and were hiding behind the two doors on the left and the right.
Jiang Luo took Lisa and hid beside Lu Youyi, covered Lisa's mouth, and let the snake take the female fish to the bilge.
The females screamed from the depths of the bilge, and seconds later, schools of males darted into the bilge with angry growls.
The ground shook, and the entire ship kept rocking from the blood eel's violent run.
The three counted the number of males, and all but one of the dead males climbed into the bilge after the females.
When the last male has run in, Lu Youyi and Kuang Zheng close the door with all their might.
The golden python flew out just in time, and as the door was about to close, Jiang Luo threw his right hand, and the flaming lighter fell through the doorway to the ground.
With a swift sound, the fire sprang up. Scarlet flames flew across the oil-doused ground.
The heavy door of the bilge was completely shut.
The blood eels, along with countless fry eggs, would all be lost in the flames.
But for Jiang Luo and the others, the most dangerous time is not yet over.
Once the flame spreads to the side of the gas canister, the fire charm will ignite, triggering a series of explosions.
They need to successfully move away from this position in the bilge before the explosion.
The three men didn't linger for half a second, darting out the door as fast as they could in their lives.
Kuang Zheng and Lu Youyi simultaneously extended their hands to Jiang Luo, "Let me hold her."
Jiang Luo couldn't hold the eight or nine year old Lisa anymore, so he handed her over to Kuang Zheng, urging, "Don't ever let go of her," as he didn't feel comfortable with Lu Youyi.
Kuang Zheng felt that there was something wrong with this statement, so Jiang Luo added with a worried look, "She's a little girl, she can't keep up with us on her own."
Kuang Zheng's demeanor straightened and he held Lisa firmly in his arms, "I know."
They ran so fast that their legs were taking stumps. Jiang Luo clenched his teeth and slowly blackened his face, ignoring all the discomfort on his body. The three people had just run to the position of the lifeboat when two explosions came from the bilge. The cruise ship shook violently, and thick black smoke rose from the rear.
Jiang Luo grabbed the handrail to stabilize himself. On the other side of the river, Ye Xun and his team also managed to catch the male fish disguised as a captain. They trapped the male fish with a hemp rope, tied it tightly and pushed it over with a cart.
The whole operation went surprisingly smoothly. The crowd boarded the lifeboats and quickly moved away from the Angonesse, waiting until they were far enough away before the group stopped and quietly watched the sinking of the luxury cruise ship.
Black smoke rolled in and the sea was calm. Fiery fires blazed on the Angonese, and the cruise ship tilted with an almost tragic beauty.
After a long time, someone sighed tersely, "This is the craziest thing I've ever done in my life."
Jiang Luo was watching intently. Suddenly, he saw a black spot by the ship's railings.
It seems to be personal.
He stared at once, but he couldn't see the man at all from such a distance.
Jiang Luo frowned and sat back down, finding another bundle of rope and wrapping it around his own wrist a few times, then taking Lisa's hand and wrapping it around the little girl's hand a few times as well.
Lisa held up her hand curiously and looked at it, "Brother?"
Jiang Luo smiled and said, "The sea is not very safe, brother tied you and me together, brother's heart is at ease."
Lisa smiled coyly and Wen Renlian reached out and touched Lisa's dark hair, "Lisa, does it make you sad to see your father like this?"
Lisa looked fearfully at the tied up male fish next to her, she shivered, her eyes contained watery light, but shook her head, carefully walked over to the male fish and squatted down, gently patted the male fish and said in a tone of coaxing a small baby, "Daddy be good, Lisa will cure you."
Ge Zhu couldn't bear to look at it, so he sighed and turned his head, and saw Cheng Li staring blankly in the direction of the ship, Ge Zhu said, "Big brother, why are you holding a bag in your arms?"
Cheng Li replied distractedly, "This is my wife and daughter's stuff."
Jiang Luo looked at the bag in Cheng Li's hand.
The backpack is a women's style, the metal zipper has lost its paint and the surface of the bag is badly worn, even if it is well protected it cannot hide the residue of time, so I guess it is a bit old.
"Cheng, how did Sister Zhao and Mamoru lose it?" He asked.
Cheng Li came back to his senses, his fingers gripping his bag a little anxiously, pain slowly creeping into his eyes, "Two years ago, your sister Zhao brought Mamoru on board to work with me. We were sailing to the Caribbean when a storm came out of nowhere. That storm was especially big, the bow of the ship just happened to have a group of children playing on the deck, directly swept into the sea by the storm, inside there is my daughters between ...... your sister Zhao and a few other mothers, there are also two crew members directly jumped into the water to save the people, but came up only a few people, your sister Zhao and my daughter . . they didn't come up."
After this paragraph was finished, Cheng Li also choked up and buried her head down in her bag and cried bitterly, "People in my old family thought that I was developed outside and looking for a little love, specially tricked my wife and daughter to the boat then dumped them in the sea, how could I do such a thing! I stayed on the ship all these years and didn't leave, it's not that I didn't know about the blood eel, but this ship has my last memories with my wife and daughter, I can't let go!"
Jiang Luo captures a precise message within this passage, and he asks Lisa thoughtfully, "Lisa, did your mom die in that storm too?"
Lisa wiped her eyes and nodded in silence.
"Did you fall into the water then too?" Jiang Luo's voice grew softer and softer, "Was it you who fell into the water, and that's why mom jumped into the water to save you?"
Lisa sniffled, "Yes."
"Good boy," Jiang Luo then asked, "did your father jump into the water to save you?"
Lisa shook her head, understanding, "Daddy's the captain of the ship, he's busy."
"Brother Cheng, how many people survived at that time?"
Cheng Li stops the pain, the question almost doesn't need to be thought about before it comes out of his mouth; after all, he's wondered countless times why it wasn't his wife and daughter who survived.
"Two crew members, one child. Lisa was the captain's daughter, and the storm was so bad that the crew could only save one child, and they brought Lisa back."
Cheng Li has kept these words in her heart for two years, and now she has finally said them out loud.
When he finished, the lifeboat was silent.
Birth, old age, sickness and death are all too common, and accidents keep happening to people every minute and every second, and all people don't believe that accidents can happen to them, and when they do happen, it's too late.
Smeller even brought extra flares with him and he lit another one. Less than half an hour after lighting the flare, the police boat managed to find them.
And those who had escaped earlier had been rescued by the police and put on board.
When Jiang Luo boarded the boat, police officers gathered around, Jiang Luo received towels and warm clothes, and met the familiar officer Lin Qinlin inside the police.
The smile on Officer Lin's face, which had always carried a sunny and gracious smile, disappeared this time as he asked worriedly, "Are you guys okay?"
A few people shook their heads, Officer Lin was not yet relieved and asked again, "I heard the survivors say that the boat used people to raise fish, do you have any eggs or fry in your stomachs?"
Kuang Zheng gave a bitter smile and led a shake of his head.
Only after making sure they were okay did Officer Lin's expression relax.
Jiang Luo said nonchalantly, "Officer Lin, we don't have anything in our stomachs, but a boatload of rich people just had something inside their heads."
Officer Lin's face stared, "Which boatload?"
Jiang Luo scanned through the crowd and pointed out the men to him. Officer Lin was about to go about his business when Jiang Luo said, "Their business can be dealt with later, do the most important thing first."
Officer Lin was confused, "What's the most important thing?"
Jiang Luo patted Lisa's shoulder and smiled, "The most important thing, of course, is to subdue the Blood Eel's leader first."
