Chapter 87: Stage performances

Lu Youyi was lucky enough to draw the Master card, Jiang Luo was heartbroken, but a better plan came to mind.

He stopped stopping them and instead pretended to look extremely upset that the poor man had drawn the master card and said, "Why is there a master card in the commoner's box?"

The waiter, unsurprised by his behavior, said soothingly, "Guest, please also understand that the results of the lottery were not within our predictions."

Jiang Luo gave a cry, standing aside with his arms wrapped around him, "Then I'll be here to see what other cards they can draw."

Although Lu Youyi and the others came together, they were paired up in pairs, pretending not to be familiar with each other. The six of them quickly drew their cards, and just as Jiang Luo expected, except for Lu Youyi, the others all drew slave cards.

Jiang Luo snorted, gloating, "It's just like that."

He looked disinterested, turned around and was about to return to the ballroom, but before he left, as if remembering something, he stopped and turned his head to the waiter and asked, "What if the other master and I have our eyes on a slave at the same time?"

"That naturally depends upon the bargain between the two masters," said the waiter, "and if we are not strictly forbidden to do anything here, then all may be done, and we do not meddle in it."

The waiter added, "Won't you redraw?"

Jiang Luo asks, "If I am not satisfied with the redraw, can I keep drawing until I am satisfied?"

The attendant shook his head, "Even for you, it's just one more chance to draw."

"That won't be necessary," Jiang Luo said nonchalantly, "It would be better to look for that Crown Card I lost."

The waiter laughed, "Good luck then."

Several people entered the hall in two waves. Soon, eight people gathered in an unnoticed corner.

Smells even asked in a low voice, "Did you lose your deck?"

Jiang Luo shook his head, "I drew the slave card. Losing my cards was just an excuse to redraw, that plan failed, but I didn't have much hope that it would work either. Originally there was a second and third plan, it just so happened that Ge Zhu drew the Master card, I could have teamed up with him, but there would have been a change between Master and Slave, so that plan wouldn't have worked."

With such a grim situation, the remaining few could not help but show some worry. However, Jiang Luo suddenly laughed out, "Originally, with only Ge Zhu's master card, I couldn't do much, but now that we have two master cards, there is a great deal of room to maneuver."

A light shone in his eyes as he settled on Lu Youyi, "First, let everyone know that a civilian drew the master card."

The drinks were mellow, the ballroom was throbbing with people, and while the sea breeze was cold outside, it was warm inside.

The aroma of young girls intermingled with the scent of men's tobacco, and amidst the throng of people, the rich were pushing their glasses and judging the crowd with the eyes of a hunter surveying his prey.

But there was a sudden commotion among the crowd.

Rich people look up to see, "What's going on there?"

The waiter with the tray said, "A rich man had his eye on a commoner, but the commoner said he was not a slave."

Civilians who weren't slaves? Interesting.

The rich people curiously gathered around, and the commotion was already surrounded by many people. In the middle of the crowd, a rich man wearing a silver mask and a large gold chain said gruffly, "You say you're not a slave, so show me your deck."

Lu Youyi did his best to do what Jiang Luo said was required to attract the attention of the crowd as he abruptly slammed the wine glass in his hand to the ground, glaring at Ge Zhu with an exaggerated and ferocious expression, "You think I'm lying?"

Ge Zhu was startled by the sound of a glass breaking, luckily he was wearing a mask and held on to his line, "Come on, I want to see your cards, are you afraid to show them?"

Lu Youyi was upset, "Why should I show you my cards?"

A rich beer-bellied man who was watching decided that the slave was lying, he sneered and spoke out, "Look at the wall, the first rule here is that you can't refuse someone's request to view the deck."

Lu Youyi's face changed, and just when others thought he would admit that he had lied, they saw the civilian reluctantly draw his own card, disliking it and saying to Ge Zhu, "Look, look, look, I've said I'm the master card!"

He went along with the trend of letting the people watching around him also see the cards in his hand, fearing that others could not see it, Lu Youyi raised his hand until his hand was tired before he put it down.

The rich people also saw the cards in his hand.

They were suddenly disinterested and left in twos and threes. There were also many whispers and words.

"I can't believe a civilian actually drew the master card, how was this ball planned?"

"Just looking at that civilian's face makes me sick to my stomach that we have such a rat turd mixed in with our group of 'masters'."

Ge Zhu and Lu Youyi have successfully taken a backseat to Jiang Luo and have returned to him unobtrusively.

Lu Youyi and Jiang Luo exchanged the cards in their hands, Jiang Luo whispered, "Protect yourselves, the master card in Ge Zhu's hand will be given to whoever needs it, in the eyes of the outsiders, the two of you are already master cards, they won't come back to mess with you. You can also protect the two of you as slaves, the safety and security is partially lifted for now, you have to be careful when poking around next, as for the rest, wait to cooperate with me as planned."

Jiang Luo slipped silently into the middle of the ball.

After losing sight of his companions, he straightened his clothes and tackled a sardonic grin towards a couple of noblewomen who were gathered in conversation.

"Good evening, beautiful ladies," Jiang Luo's chin lifted slightly, his dark hair arcing gracefully over his shoulders, "May I join you?"

A few noblewomen looked him up and down for a few moments, glanced at each other, and laughed floridly, "Of course."

Jiang Luo beckoned to the waiter on the side and personally handed the three noblewomen glasses of wine, saying with a smile, "What are the ladies chatting about?"

The dark-haired youth looked like a gentleman of unknown worth. Even more fascinating than his unknown worth was his demeanor and appearance, and even though his face was half hidden by a mask, those beautiful eyes and the curved corners of his lips in a crooked smile were still completely stunning.

"We were talking about beauty," replied one of the red-haired noblewomen, unable to help herself, "talking about how it's still the younger skin that's smoother and more elastic."

Jiang Luo said with surprise, "Aren't you in your youthful state now?"

The three noblewomen covered their lips and laughed again, the red-haired noblewoman couldn't hold back her laughter at the compliment, she touched her face, hardened her vanity and humbly said, "Where's the exaggeration you're talking about, aren't we on the ship just to look younger? If we were really eighteen and twenty years old, we wouldn't have to come."

Jiang Luo narrowed his eyes and continued to chat along the topic.

"I don't know if the Blood Eel is as exaggerated as the legend says," another noblewoman said worriedly, "but look at the Xue family's madam, she looks like she's a full twenty years younger. When I went for a massage with her, all the loose fat on her body had also disappeared, it was like she had changed."

"The character has changed a lot too, it's really enviable ...... When I told my husband that I also wished to be twenty years younger, he came to make fun of me, and look, he's not boarding a ship now either?"

"Those stinking men of theirs don't board the ship for beauty, in their eyes, as long as they have money they don't have an endless supply of beauty?"

"Heh, I think the rumor that blood eels increase longevity is even more outrageous than the rumor that they beautify."

Blood eel increases longevity and beauty.

Jiang Luo was thoughtful, but after getting this information, he didn't go away, but guided their words and met many rich people in the mask.

Soon, the lights in the ballroom suddenly went out. Three seconds later, the dark lights came on and a chasing light hit the center of the stage. The attendant standing under the chasing light stood in front of the microphone and smiled warmly, "Ladies and gentlemen, the Master and Slave Performance Stage is now open!"

"With a bang, the colored cannons above the waiter's head burst open, and colorful confetti fluttered in the sky.

The crowd below the stage applauded enthusiastically, and Jiang Luo heard a rich man beside him say excitedly, "Finally, we've waited for this one to start."

The attendant's voice was high-pitched and full of emotion as he said, "There is only one rule on the master-slave performance stage, the 'master' has to guarantee the safety of the 'slave's' life, other than that, the stage is all under the control of the master who holds the Crown Card! Now, is there any pair of masters and slaves who would like to be the first on our stage?"

Hidden in the crowd, Kuang Zheng protects Wen Renlian and Zhuo Zhongqiu behind him, fearing that someone with a master's license will choose them as his slaves.

Smells even said helplessly, "Big guy."

Kuang Zheng bowed his head, and Wen Renlian looked at him and said sincerely, "You are going to be more dangerous than we are."

Kuang Zheng: "?"

Wenren even patted his muscles and said meaningfully, "You have no idea how many people would like to pull a muscle-bound man like you onto the stage to be trained as a slave."

Kuang Zheng's face was blank for a long time, and Zhuo Zhongqiu let out a "tsk", "Wenren, your idea is really dangerous."

But thankfully, the first master had brought his slave on stage before anyone could get a look at them.

This pair of masters and slaves had a huge difference in face value, the master was a greasy old man like a pig, but the slave was a voluptuous young woman with an apprehensive expression.

The attendant walked up to the owner and nodded after whispering something to him, and a little later, someone handed a leash to the rich owner from the side.

The waiter retreated from the stage.

The rich host coughed his throat in front of the microphone, and he made a show of putting his hands behind his back, his stomach about to push up against the microphone stand.

"In the old days, I had a bitch, but that bitch was sent to the kitchen for biting me and became a lunch for me," his large yellow teeth were conspicuous as he spoke, "Today, I'm here to put on a show of a bitch who won't bite and its owner."

He looked to the young woman and smiled with a quivering face, "Come over here and kneel down and put the leash on."

The young woman trembled and knelt down and put the leash around her neck. The rich man pulled on the chain and laughed twice, as if facing a real dog, and held out his hand, "Lick your master's hand."

The young woman did it with tears in her eyes.

Rich pulled her around the stage twice, cursing every now and then in between, "Move faster!"

Zhuo Zhongqiu Several people watched with fire in their hearts, they were about to make a scene according to plan, when they saw the young woman's husband under the stage had been so angry that he was trembling, and the next second he was going to rush toward the stage, "Don't you touch her!"

The waiter stopped the husband, "I'm sorry, but you can't rush up and interrupt the master-slave performing on stage."

The civilians watching this scene winced and steeply sobered up from the drunken dance, they looked at the humiliated young woman on the stage, but they could not help but shiver. This one was the young woman, was the next one themselves? They were both timid and angry in their hearts, but they still didn't dare to disobey the rich man, the commoners watched the scene in silence, not one of them dared to speak out. For a while there was only the roar of the young woman's husband, "You guys are going too far! Let her go, you guys let her go!"

The rich man on stage laughed at his husband and kicked the young woman even more excessively.

Among the commoners, I don't know who had the audacity to cry out again, "Why are most of the rich masters and most of us slaves?"

Lu Youyi, hidden in the crowd, lowered his voice, "Yeah, why should I!"

After more people took the lead, the whispers in the civilian piles grew louder and noisier.

The rich man on the stage was as if he had been slapped in public, his expression became even more sinister. Jiang Luo heard a man beside him whispering at a loss for words, "We'll need these poor people afterward, what will we do afterward if we push them too hard now?"

The other was also a little unsure, but still said dismissively, "How dare they."

Jiang Luo coldly hooked up his lips as he walked to the front in the crowd.

The rich man on the stage was breathing more and more raggedly, he was completely enraged by the protests of the poor. Being the first master-slave to perform on stage, he suffered from the discontent of the commoners, it was too humiliating. The tycoon looked at the young woman grimly, the young woman sensed danger and she stepped back in fear, but when she saw the tycoon grinning and raising his palm, he was about to strike down at her when a scattered voice suddenly sounded.

"Mr. Wilton, you can stop now."

Regal looked down to see a dark-haired young man wearing a black mask looking at him with lack of interest, obviously offstage, but as if he was condescendingly scornful of him, "This performance of yours is so boring."
