Granny Wolf in Monster Valley~
The Black Tower's beeping ended, and a blinding white light filled Tang Mo's field of vision, blinding him to the point where he couldn't open his eyes.
Tang Mo closed his eyes in preparation and waited to enter the game. However, three seconds later, what entered his ears was not the sound of cheerful game music, nor any weird nursery rhymes, but a clear and loud bird song.
Tang Mo opened her eyes in surprise.
It's a vast, endless forest.
The sky was frighteningly blue, as if it had been painted with azure-colored paint, and a few cotton-candy white clouds floated in the sky, so regular in shape that it seemed as if someone had used a circle in a drawing tool to depict them, one by one. The world was divided into the sky and the earth by the towering clouds, and the thick trunks of the trees ran straight up into the sky without a single forked branch on the trunks.
Tang Mo stood in this fairytale forest, looking stunned.
Soon, he calmed down and began to observe his surroundings.
The trees here are incredibly tall, with the smallest trunks seven or eight meters in diameter, but the flowers and plants are normal-sized. Tang Mo carefully avoids each one of them to avoid making a distinctive sound when he steps on them. He wears a pair of soft-soled sneakers, and on the soft, moist soil, the sound is almost non-existent.
Five minutes later, Tang Mo returns to the same spot and checks his belongings.
The backpack contained two boxes of cookies, a bottle of bottled water, a flashlight, and tools such as a lighter and rope. Tang Mo had two small knives strapped to his right leg and four small darts hidden in the inside pocket of his jacket.
After checking everything, Tang Mo starts to move forward.
Ten minutes had passed since he entered the first floor of the Black Tower. Unlike the last time he was dragged into the game by Fu Wenduo, Tang Mo didn't get his main quest in the first place, the Black Tower only told him one message - Welcome to the Monster World - and didn't reveal the rest of it.
Ten minutes have passed without the Black Tower releasing a game or mission, and Tang Mo can't sit still.
Carefully wary of his surroundings, he chose a random direction and headed straight for it.
It's easy to get lost in a forest like this. Tang Mo has not prepared a compass, and who knows if it will work in this world. Tang Mo's choice is to find the most obvious landmark and walk towards it, so that at least she won't go around in circles.
Tall trees blocked the sun, and it became impossible to rely on the sun to recognize the direction. But amidst the dense foliage cover, a knife-sharp mountain stood straight up on the earth. The mountain resembled a kitchen knife, and the thickness of the mountain was extremely thin, but it was extremely steep and high. A layer of pure white ice and snow had condensed on the top of the mountain, so Tang Mo used this mountain as a direction, intending to go out of the woods first.
He was gone for an hour.
The chopper-like peak was still so far away that you couldn't see the bottom of the mountain at all.
The trees in the forest look exactly the same, and every ten minutes Tang Mo finds ten small stones to make a cross. In an hour, Tang Mo has not seen her cross.
"No detour, but still not out of this forest? ......"
Tang Mo pursed her lips and tried to pick up her pace as fast as she could, trying to find her way out of the forest.
Just as Tang Mo reached a tall redwood tree, his ears suddenly twitched as if he had heard something. Tang Mo's footsteps immediately stopped, and he leaned against the redwood tree to hide himself, concentrating his attention on this strange and faint sound.
He listened for ten seconds, and the forest echoed with the pleasant sound of birdsong and the rustling of leaves, and there seemed to be no other sound.
Tang Mo carries his bag on his back, his eyes gradually coalescing. He slumped down, braced his hands on the ground, leaned his ear against the ground, and continued to listen.
Slowly, he heard the strange voice.
"Dang..."
"Dang..."
"Knock knock--"
"Knock, knock, knock--"
The sound became more and more urgent, as if someone was beating a huge drum, the drum beat was dense, thumping on Tang Mo's heart.
The voice was getting closer!
Tang Mo jumped up from the ground in a flash, turned around and ran back. He no longer cared if he stepped on the leaves and flowers and made a sound, he turned around and ran away as fast as he could, but that thud sound was faster than he could run, three minutes later, a large white shadow flashed through the air and smashed in front of Tang Mo.
Tang Mo's eyes narrowed.
"Hiss ...... Hiss ......"
A huge three-meter tall Tu Zi stood in front of Tang Mo, staring at him with its bright red eyes, its huge claws pawing the ground back so hard that a sofa-sized chunk of dirt was easily scooped up behind it and slammed into the giant tree with a thud.
Tang Mo backed away slowly, not blinking an eye at the large white rabbit.
A man and a rabbit stood between the three trees that surrounded them, looking at each other together.
In the next moment, Big Tu Zi's sturdy hind legs stomped on the ground and drew a beautiful arc in the air, rushing towards Tang Mo.
Without hesitation, Tang Mo took out a large match from his wrist and sidestepped the impact of the big Tu Zi, while striking a match to the back of Tu Zi's neck. The match struck the fluffy rabbit fur, sending out blinding metal sparks. The rabbit fur looked soft, but it was as hard as steel. Big Tu Zi was hit by Tang Mo's match and slid forward, creating a ten-meter-long trail on the ground. Tang Mo was sent flying by the huge recoil and smashed into a giant tree. His throat was so sweet that he almost coughed out a mouthful of blood and swallowed it back.
Separated by a distance of more than ten meters, the man and the rabbit stared at each other again, and then met the attack again.
The big snow-white Tu Zi is not clumsy because of its large size, it is extremely fast and creates a shadow in the air. Tang Mo is forced to retreat, using a large match to block Tu Zi's claws, and is finally forced to the dead center of a tree.
Behind Tang Mo was a huge tree with a diameter of ten meters, with dense bushes on the left and right sides. Without hesitation, he turned on his toes and ran into the bushes.
Big Tu Zi rushed to follow him, but saw that Tang Mo had not run far at all; he was standing behind the bushes with his arms folded, staring angrily at Big Tu Zi and shouting out with a strong voice: "Give me back my grandfather!"
"My Grandfather ......"
"Grandpa ......"
"Master ......"
The loud male voice echoed in the vast forest for a long time, Tang Mo opened his mouth and made a round mouth shape. Big Tu Zi pricked up his two long ears, as if realizing something was wrong, he turned around and ran. In the next moment, a hot stream of gas erupted from Tang Mo's mouth, followed by burning hot flames.
The roaring flames spewed into the flammable undergrowth, stirring up a monstrous fire all at once.
The ability "Goblin, give me back my grandpa" can only be used once a day, when using it, you need to cross your arms and yell "Give me back my grandpa", it can shoot out 800℃ high temperature flame, the duration is 30 seconds.
Tang Mo uncontrollably spewed flames for a total of 30 seconds, and when he finally finished using his powers, Big Tu Zi had long since disappeared, and an endless sea of fire was in front of him.
Tang Mo grimaces, grabs the backpack that was thrown in the corner and runs.
Tang Mo didn't want to use this ability in the forest unless it was absolutely necessary. This forest is rich in vegetation, and once a fire starts, it is impossible to control it. After Big Tu Zi was driven away, Tang Mo also had to hurry to escape. Moreover, he has to make a detour again, and the one hour's journey he made before is all for nothing.
The forest fire burns more and more fiercely, Tang Mo runs for dozens of kilometers, and in the distance he can still see the fire he just set.
In the red fire, a giant tree collapses and falls as tongues of fire engulf it. The forest fire would spread faster and faster, leaving Tang Mo little time. He frantically ran forward, when suddenly, a child's voice rang in his ears.
"Dingdong! Triggered side quest 1: Disguise as Little Red Riding Hood and infiltrate Monster Valley."
Tang Mo's face changed slightly, and before he could react to the meaning of the words, he heard a shout of surprise.
"Oh my god, it's on fire! The Monster Forest is on fire!"
"Why is it suddenly on fire, I'm going to find Grandpa Elephant and put out the fire quickly!"
Dense footsteps came from the distance, running closer and closer. From the sound of the footsteps, there must be at least twenty people. By the time Tang Mo heard their voices, they were already a hundred meters away, so it was impossible for Tang Mo to run away. In an emergency, Tang Mo climbed up a big tree and swished into the leaves to block her body.
Five seconds later, Tang Mo's heart stops a beat.
He finally got a good look at the things that were talking!
Not people, all animals. Or monsters.
The leader was a large man with the head of an ape, the head of an ape and the body of a human. He was dressed in a black undershirt with strong muscles, and was running in the direction of the forest fire with a huge room-sized tank of water in his hands. After him came the pig-headed man, the monkey-headed man, and a giant snake crawling with a coiled hose.
Some have just the head of an animal, others are animals all over.
Tang Mo held his breath and hugged the tree for dear life. He heard his heart pounding, but the only thing he could do now was to minimize his presence as much as possible and pray that these monsters couldn't find him.
Suddenly, a dog-headed man stops, twitches his nose twice, and raises his head to look into the foliage where Tang Mo is hiding.
Tang Mo's scalp tingled as his hand grabbed a small dart in his pocket, and before he could throw it, he heard the dog-headed man yell, "Undergrounders! There are underground people!"
All the monsters all stopped in their tracks and turned their heads in unison to look at Tang Mo.
"Get the Underground Man!"
"Get him!"
Tang Mo stomps on the trunk of a tree and uses his strength to jump to another tree.
Two huge monsters monkeys climbed up the tree and jumped to catch up with Tang Mo. Tang Mo didn't have time to hesitate, he kept jumping up the tree, the two monkeys followed him closely, and a group of monsters followed him on the ground.
Fuck! Shouldn't you guys be putting out the fire first!
For the first time, Tang Mo wanted to curse so much. He could only think about it in his mind, and he didn't even have time to talk as he hoofed it and jumped to the next tree.
The forest fires are getting more and more intense, almost reaching the trees on Tang Mo's side, but the monsters are still following Tang Mo. Their eyes are filled with a bloody red color, and the two giant monkeys look at Tang Mo, sticky saliva dripping from their sharp teeth.
Tang Mo's physical strength is no match for the monkeys, who are natural tree climbers. His arms were scratched by one monkey, and the other monkey took the opportunity to hang upside down on the tree trunk and catch Tang Mo's arms with both hands. A big match appeared in Tang Mo's hand, and he swung it with all his might, striking the monkey's chest.
Monkey was sent flying backwards, but he also kicked Tang Mo in the chest before he flew out.
Tang Mo's body drops free and hits the ground with a thud.
In the next second, the monsters all surrounded them.
"Subterraneans!" Orangutan said, swallowing, "It's been a long time since I've seen an underground man this fresh."
The Pigman looked at Tang Mo with glowing eyes, "Is it edible?"
"Eat! Eat the Underground Man!"
"Eat the Underground Man!"
Tang Mo's mind worked quickly as he began to think about the powers and weapons he now possessed.
Big matches don't work. Matches are a great weapon, but Tang Mo can't fight so many monsters on his own, and I'm afraid he can't even run away.
Drawing a circle curses you to curse only one object, with unknown effects.
Also my grandpa's powers were used up, and that was the only one that would be a threat to this group of monsters in the forest.
There are also friend-finding powers, wind-spitting powers, and powers of a defensive nature ......
Tang Mo's face was getting ugly.
His powers combined couldn't handle this many monsters!
Do I have to archive first? As soon as you enter the game, you archive it. Damn it, what would he do if he ran into danger again later. He had only just entered the Tower Attack game and didn't even know the main quest!
Main Mission ......
Tang Mo A flash of light flashed in his mind, and he suddenly remembered that in the critical moment just now, the Black Tower seemed to have released a side quest. Just now, he didn't have time to think about this quest in order to escape.
There was no way the Black Tower wouldn't give him a way out. Tang Mo thought that he had never done anything wrong since he entered this game, and he recalled every single one of his behaviors without any mistake, and he hadn't missed any clues. When dealing with Big Tu Zi, he had no choice but to use his "Give me back my grandfather" power. If he hadn't used it at that time, Tang Mo wouldn't have been able to pass Big Tu Zi's level.
So only ......
Tang Mo pulled a beautiful ruby out of his pocket and held it high above his head. Suddenly, a smelly hat appeared on Tang Mo's head, and Tang Mo was so smoked that he almost fainted, and he felt as if something had grown under his nose.
Tang Mo resisted the urge to vomit and spat out five words through his teeth, "I'm Little Red Riding Hood."
The monsters froze.
"Little Red Riding Hood?"
"Who is Little Red Riding Hood?"
"Have you ever heard of Little Red Riding Hood?"
Tang Mo is surrounded by the group of monsters. He keeps his head down, hiding his expression under Mario's smelly hat. It was the only possibility he could think of at the moment. The Black Tower wouldn't have given him a situation where he was sure to die, otherwise this wouldn't be a game, it would be a killing spree.
But if Little Red Riding Hood doesn't work, or if this Mario hat doesn't enable him to disguise himself as Little Red Riding Hood and fool the monsters, then Tang Mo will have to file away and do a desperate attempt to survive.
Maybe the Black Tower is just bad enough to want to force Tang Mo to use the archiver as well at the beginning.
"Ah, I remember, isn't that hybrid granddaughter of Grandma's family named Little Red Riding Hood?" A parrot chirped, "That daughter of Grandma's family, do you guys remember? She eloped with an underground man ten years ago and gave birth to a half-blood child! Grandma told me yesterday that her granddaughter was especially filial, and that she would be coming over from Wang Guo's side to help her look after the land in the next two days, is she the one?"
The giant gorilla points to the beard on Tang Mo's lips, "He's a male earthling, not a female."
Tang Mo: "......"
Tang Mo rips off Mario's beard with a grimace, rises from the ground and looks at the gorilla, "You're looking at it wrong."
The gorilla rubbed his head, "Ohhhh, I was wrong. So it's Little Red Riding Hood from Grandma's house, you didn't say so earlier. Hey, you guys go and get that fire out. Little Red Riding Hood, go, I'll take you to your grandmother."
After the gorilla finished speaking, he turned around and was about to take Tang Mo back.
Tang Mo's nose was underneath a fiery pain. With his current body, it wasn't so much that he'd be tearing flesh when he tore his beard, but that sharp pain wouldn't be diminished one iota from what it had been before Earth came online.
Gorilla: "Red Riding Hood, why do you smell bad?"
Tang Mo coldly said, "We underground people don't like to bathe."
The gorilla nodded, "No wonder, you must have been dirty under your nose just now. We monsters love to bathe, you don't want to learn from those underground people."
Tang Mo is dead serious about his beard and doesn't want to talk.
The forest, which looks like a maze to Tang Mo, takes the two of them only half an hour to get out of the forest and into a valley with the gorilla as their guide.
The valley was in the opposite direction to the chopper mountain Tang Mo had seen before, and the gorilla said to Tang Mo as he led him into the valley, "You are a kind and understanding Little Red Riding Hood. It's almost time to plant the crops, it's the busiest time of the year, and you've come to help your grandmother to look after the land."
Tang Mo stands behind the gorilla, half a meter away from it, and hmmm's softly.
Gorilla: "The last two years have not been peaceful in our Monster Valley." The gorilla pushes aside a boulder and a dark hole in the ground immediately appears in front of Tang Mo.
The gorilla steps in, but Tang Mo stops dead in his tracks.
The gorilla looked back at him strangely, "Little Red Riding Hood?"
Tang Mo's mind rang with the words "Dive into the valley of the monsters", and finally he gritted his teeth and followed into this hole in the ground.
With a thud, the boulder closed behind Tang Mo.
"Dingdong! Side quest one has been completed."
The gorilla picked up a torch that was sitting next to a rock and lit up the hole in the ground. Tang Mo follows the gorilla and continues deeper into the tunnel.
This tunnel was very spacious, and when it was said to be a tunnel, it was more like a huge cave. At the top of the tunnel, a black stalactite stands upside down, with tiny droplets of water coalescing at its tip. Tang Mo followed the gorillas unhurriedly as they moved further and further underground.
After about ten minutes of walking, the tunnel came to an end, and the gorilla pushed aside the large rock blocking the end of the tunnel.
Openly, everything opens up.
Tang Mo opens his eyes wide at this vast space hidden deep underground.
"It's the underground that belongs to the first floor of our Black Tower." The gorilla lamented, "I'm especially uncomfortable whenever I go up there. Eh yes, Little Red Riding Hood, why did you appear in the forest at the junction of the first and second floors?"
Tang Mo copes with the situation by making a few, aggravated hmmm's.
The gorilla didn't speak to him again either and led him into the valley.
Before seeing this valley, I'm afraid that no one would believe that there is such a huge world under the ground.
The huge valley was surrounded by three triangular cone shaped underground mountains with a clear pink river in the center. This river was brought in from outside the valley and eventually disappeared at the other end.
Between the three large hills were houses covered with thatch and mud. From far to near, there were more than twenty small houses that could be seen with the naked eye. There was also a vegetable field in front of each house, and at the moment those fields were bare, with only plowed fields and no crops.
There was no one in the valley, presumably they had all gone out to put out the fire earlier.
The gorilla leads Tang Mo along the trail deeper into the last mountain. Tang Mo walks slower and slower, his hand pressed against the tinder tattoo as he stares warily ahead.
A pink chimney poked out of the hill and appeared in front of the two.
The gorilla pointed to the chimney, "Look, that's your grandmother's house."
Tang Mo presses the tinder tattoo and nods.
The gorilla can't recognize who Little Red Riding Hood is, but Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother is not so sure. Tang Mo entered the valley of monsters according to the Black Tower's request, and he vaguely sensed that the key, or the main quest, of this tower attack game should be in this valley. If he was recognized by Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother, Tang Mo's only choice was to run away immediately, hide in a corner of the valley, and wait for an opportunity to find the main quest.
Around this corner, Grandma's house came into view completely.
A pink clay hut was nestled in some very abrupt way between two small, green and turquoise trees. A golden colored fence surrounded the vegetable patch in front of the hut, and in the middle of the patch, a mirror-like stone was set in the ground, paving a stone path from the house to the yard gate.
The gorilla knocked on the yard door, "Grandma, Grandma, I've brought your Little Red Riding Hood."
Tang Mo was tense and highly focused, ready to turn and escape at any time. At that moment, he heard a muffled footstep. It was as if the giant object was dragging on the ground, thumping on the ground step by step, sending a tremor through the entire mountain.
"Crunch--"
The door to the pink room was pushed open.
Tang Mo has his right foot turned and is looking to escape.
A tall humanoid with a white bowler hat and a pink dress appeared inside the door. She possessed a muscular body built into knots, and she had to bend down to get through the door of the pink cottage. The little pink dress strangled a mark on her body as if the big muscular man had worn a little girl's dress, which was beyond ridiculous.
The huge brim of her hat hides her face, and Tang Mo can only see her large, dark, long-haired hands.
She twisted her footsteps like a lady of the upper class, stepping step by step and stepping in small broken steps, and walked to the front of the courtyard door. Tang Mo s one meter eight was only flush to her shoulders, and she slowly loosened the hand that pressed the brim of her hat, revealing a large mouth that protruded and a pair of sharp wolf ...... like eyes and a pair of wolf s eyes.
The gorilla laughed nervously, "Grandmother Wolf, I've brought you your family's Little Red Riding Hood."
Tang Mo turned to flee almost the moment he saw this Wolf Grandmother, but the Wolf Grandmother's thick palm pressed down on his shoulder. Tang Mo was shocked to realize that he could not actually break free from this palm, just by pressing it like this, the Wolf Grandmother held him in place, unable to move.
"It's really my little Red Riding Hood. I'll never forget her father's stinking hat for the rest of my life, Uncle Gorilla. See, it's just a little better than this one she has."
Granny Wolf opened her bloody mouth and laughed softly.
Tang Mo saw a finger belonging to a human in the gap between her teeth.
Granny Wolf took Tang Mo's arm directly, and with a little force, led him into her yard.
"My sweet Little Red Riding Hood must be starving. Grandmother will take you home for dinner."
Granny Giant Wolf lifted Tang Mo by the collar with one paw and dragged him into the house, slamming the door behind him. Outside the house, the gorilla scratched his head, "Granny's got a temper today." With that, he turned and walked down the hill.
Tang Mo was practically smashed into the house by Granny Wolf.
As soon as the door closed, Granny Wolf threw him straight against the wall. Tang Mo rolled over twice and steadied himself by the fireplace. He whooshed to his feet, but the Wolf Granny didn't even care about him, no longer taking those nasty little ladylike steps, striding over to the fireplace, grabbing a dried-up human arm and gnawing on it.
The dress, which was already too small, was chipped and cracked from the rough movements of the Wolf Granny, who, with an impatient curse, ripped the dress open and casually threw it into the fireplace, where it burned to a pile of ashes.
"Take off your damn hat!" Granny Wolf crunched her wrist off and clicked and chewed on it, "This stinking hat is exactly like your father's. Don't think I'm going to give you any favors, you're only going to get seven copper coins for the seven days, not even an extra sub."
Upon hearing this, Tang Mo, on the contrary, relaxed a lot, and a key word quickly flashed through his mind: seven days.
Tang Mo had not wanted to wear this hat for a long time, but he had only just taken it off when Granny Wolf gave him a vicious look and crunched off the elbow joint of this arm like a duck neck: "The hair of the underground people is really the most disgusting thing in this world. Put your hat back on and don't let me see that hair again, or I'll pull it all out of your head!"
Tang Mo: "......" Nima!
Granny Wolf chews all the meat, spits out the bone crumbs, and looks over at Tang Mo.
Tang Mo puts his hat back on, then pulls the freshly grown beard from his mouth with a grimace.
Granny Wolf glared at him twice before finally turning her head and continuing to eat her own dinner.
The pink house was filled with pink furniture as well. The room was small, and a thin layer of dust had accumulated on a small dining table. Tang Mo guessed that the table hadn't been touched for at least a month, so perhaps its owner preferred to put the food on the floor and eat it with both hands.
Underneath the couch was a rug, a pink-colored fur Tang Mo had never seen before. His eyes flicked around the room, finally turning to the fireplace, then lifting slightly to the head hanging over it.
Like every deer head that has been set into a fireplace wall, this is a human head so stiff that it has been made into a taxidermy.
Slightly curly long black hair draped on either side of the human head's face, the middle-aged man's eyes were closed and his mouth was open, as if he were hanging on the wall as if he were asleep, except for the fact that his face was pale and bloodless, with the ebony coloring of a dead corpse.
Tang Mo took one look and then looked away.
Granny Wolf finally finished gnawing on the arm, and she tossed the remaining bone scraps into the fireplace. The flames crackled, and a pungent odor of burnt bones wandered through the hut.
"Don't expect me to prepare your dinner." Granny Wolf wiped the blood and flesh from her mouth with her hand, "Seven copper coins is already the biggest reward for you. Starting tomorrow, you'll go catch that golden-furred gopher for me, and if I don't see the golden-furred gopher's body when I come back in seven days ......"
Tang Mo raised his head and looked coldly at the giant werewolf in front of him.
Granny Wolf cracked her teeth into a morose and amiable smile, with an uneaten finger stuck between her teeth, "You are my dinner."
Tang Mo just started walking around the house at this point.
He scrutinized every table and chair, even the pile of human hair that had been hidden in the crevice of the couch for who knows how long. The house was no different from an ordinary human hunter's cabin, except that it was no longer a beast's head hanging on the fireplace wall, but a human head.
Tang Mo's heart is too big to lie down and sleep under a human head.
He took his bag and walked over to the dining room table and lay down on the floor. His eyes gazing up at the ceiling of the pink hut, Tang Mo recalled every event since he had entered the first level of the Black Tower.
The first level of the Black Tower was underground, and that forest was where the first two levels met.
Gorillas, Giant Monkeys, Granny Wolf, Little Red Riding Hood ......
Little Red Riding Hood is here to show Granny Wolf the ground.
Seven coins for seven days.
Is this mission for seven days?
Tang Mo clearly knew that he definitely wouldn't be a match for this wolf grandmother, so all he could do now was to wait for the main quest to be enacted.
The Black Tower will surely enact the main quest.
Tang Mo stares at the ceiling with his eyes open and thinks all night.
At noon the next day, a rummaging sound rang out from Granny Wolf's bedroom. When Granny Wolf came out, she had changed into another pink lace-trimmed dress, her strong body wrapped in a tiny skirt that seemed ready to burst at any moment. She wriggled her little steps and moved a little to the door of the house.
"......" Tang Mo was so hot he didn't have eyes to see it.
Granny Wolf picks up a small pink Yang San and presses her large black hand on the doorknob. Suddenly she turned to Tang Mo : "You know how to look at the ground and catch that nasty golden gopher, don't you?"
Tang Mo is silent for a moment, "I don't know."
"Your mom didn't even teach you that? Damn it, I have to teach this, so you're only paid six copper coins ...... no! It's five copper coins, don't ask for more than a single cent!"
Granny Wolf threw down little Yang San in anger and walked to Tang Mo.
Granny Wolf picked up a pink altar and threw it to Tang Mo: "In seven days it will be sowing season. I've heard that the circus master has gotten a treasure, so I have to go and see it. During the seven days I'm going to see the treasure, you keep an eye on the plot of land in the back of the mountain."
Granny Wolf goes to the window, and Tang Mo follows.
Through the window, Tang Mo sees a vegetable patch more extensive than the yard. The dark soil had been turned over long ago, and all that was left was to plant the seeds. The field is situated at the foot of a mountain, and Tang Mo's eyes flickered to the nine large holes set into the mountain wall.
"Those damn gophers, when did they dig another hole." Grandmother Wolf was furious, "Today is the first day, you have to put food into one of the holes at exactly six o'clock every afternoon and hide it in the hole. When that golden gopher comes out to eat the food, you're going to hurry up and catch him!"
Tang Mo immediately realized that this might be his next task, and he inquired, "Can I just put it in any hole? There are nine holes in total."
Granny Wolf said, rightfully so, "Of course. As long as you put the food in that hole and you stand there, that stupid golden gopher will think you're trying to feed it. Golden gophers love you underground people, and as long as you're standing in a hole with the food, he'll believe you. Of course, there's only an eighty percent chance it'll show up, and a twenty percent chance that it'll be a black-haired gopher that shows up."
Tang Mo frowns, "What happens to the black-furred gopher?"
"Black-furred gophers love to eat you Grounders." Granny Wolf grinned impishly, "Pull the heads off the groundlings and dip them in fresh ketchup. Oooh! That's really the most delicious thing in the world! I wouldn't recommend catching that golden gopher on your first day, though. It's the seven days when the gophers are just coming out of hibernation to feed, and the golden gophers are lazier than the black gophers, and they like to sleep a little longer. The ones that show up on the first day tend to be black-furred gophers, well, there's at least a fifty-fifty chance."
Tang Mo took all these words to heart while asking, "Where do I get food for the golden gopher?"
Grandmother Wolf gave Tang Mo a strange look, "Where is the altar in your hand? Put whatever belongs to your underground man Wang Guo into it, and it will turn out the golden furred gopher's favorite food, groundnut. God knows why that stupid golden furred gopher likes you underground people so much, where is the groundnut as good as the meat of the underground people, the fresh and tender meat of the underground people ......" Granny Wolf sucked in her saliva, her eyes lingering on Tang Mo's body.
Tang Mo's mind already had a rough sketch of the mission, and he finally asked, "Any random day in seven days when I catch the golden gopher, and that's it?"
"That's certainly true. But if I don't see a golden gopher when I come back in seven days ......"
Granny Wolf gave a hefty laugh, picked up the little Yang San, opened the door and left the house. Her voice of emotional anticipation pierced through the door panel and carried into the house, "The meat of the people of the earth, ah ......"
A loud voice rang out-
"Dingdong! Triggered the main quest: a pleasant gopher game in Monster Valley."
"Rules of the game--"
"First, there's only one golden gopher in Monster Valley."
"Second, there are nine holes."
"Third, the monster world, like Earth, has a 24-hour day."
"Fourth, put anything belonging to Wang Guo, the Underground Man, into the pink altar to get a golden gopher's favorite groundhog. Food must be placed in the hole at six o'clock sharp or it is invalid."
"Fifth, when a player is standing in the same hole as a gopher, the probability of a golden-furred gopher appearing is 80%, and a black-furred gopher is 20%."
"Sixth, the probability of the appearance of a golden gopher on the first day is 40 percent, and the probability of the appearance of a black gopher is 60 percent."
"Seventh, players can only place food in one hole per day; placing more than two holes or the player and the food not standing in the same hole will result in a 0 probability of the golden gopher appearing."
"Eighth, before seeding, gophers are only active in their burrows."
"Grandmother Wolf only plants this one crop each year, and the darned golden gopher always loves to steal it. How to catch it gives Grandma Wolf a headache, until one day she suddenly thinks that maybe her adorable granddaughter will have a solution."
